Abandoned niche sites, worth to give it another go?

Hi Warriors,
I have several micro niche sites built in 2009 with only a few backlinks and pages. Those are locating in a very low SERP (500+) since last year. Recently i am thinking to rebuild the sites by giving it more contents and build more backlinks.

Do you think i can still bring back the sites to higher SERP since they have been abandoned for quite some time now. Comment is appreciated.

Definitely .... if you update the sites and build backlinks to them .... surely they will rise up in the SERPs

Funny you should ask, I just discovered one of mine with only a few back links but 3600 exact searches in a decent niche and low comp. Not sure why I never developed it

I just spent $30 on outsourcing a bunch of links and wrote a few quick articles for the site, scheduled to post over the month

See where that takes me, you should do the same before you give up!
