Hello, recently I've been coming across sites that allow members to have their own blog where they can post anything to. Now I'm just wondering since this is such an easy source for backlinks, is google aware of these sites and as a result have devalued any links coming from them? These sites mostly have high PR domain so it's such a waste if they indeed don't count much. Thanks. |

I think it all depends how you do it! If you setup a blog and spam links to your sites, it is obvious to google, and will probably get your blog shutdown by the hosting site. If you do a real job, and make it a valuable blog, then every backlink helps! If its worth the time and effort, for the backlinks gained... not sure |

This is web 2.0 links, you can see a lot of web 2.0 site as blogspot, wordpress, hubpages.... Today, web 2.0 still have value, but it is not valuable as before. I use this method for my client and my web 2.0 ranks 10th without backlinks and the money site ranks at 5th with few days. For sure, this is a low competition keyword. |
