Image Ad Versus Text Ad Conversions

Hello everyone!

This is my very first post at this vibrant forum...

In my limited experience with Adwords Display Network, I've noticed that the ctr with image ads is much higher that the ctr with text ads.

On the other hand, the text ads have way better conversion rates.

In this particular case, it's a free guided meditation offer.

How can I improve the image ad conversions?

Any ideas would be most appreciated.

To improve conversions do split testing and select the image that converts better.

The only thing that the text ad has to generate a click is the words. So if that is your best CTR, then try using the words of your text ad to make your image ad.

The only thing you can do is test, test, and test again. Everyone's ads will work differently. You just have to keep trying things, one at a time so you can monitor them.

Image ads looks and attracts more visitors than text ads if it not related to seo.
If it is related to seo both will work because seo peoples always check throughly.

You need to make better image ads. You need ads that stand out in the crowd.

You need ads that zig, while the others zag.

You also need to test. Constantly.

As TimPears suggested, use your most successful text ad copy in your image ads.

Try ads made with Google's image builder and also have some custom designed (on Fiverr). Test them all against each other.

Image ads are easier to get approved and noticed by potential customers... so yeah, image ads are way better

I know this is an Adwords thread.

I run several Adsense sites (5 years) & I've tested Adsense image Ads on several sites/themes. The CTR on an Adsense image Ad always sucks.

From Adsense looking backwards at Adwords, I would think that Adwords would have a higher success rate with text Ads.

Maybe I'm wrong? But how in the heck are you getting good conversion rates If your CTR sucks?

I've never seen anyone say that an Adsense image Ad had good CTRs (I've done plenty of Adsense image testing).

Yukon, the ctr is high because my image ads are extremely colorful.
