Do you ping your backlinks?

Hi guys. Do you ping your backlinks, or do you just let google find them naturally?

I just got a fiverr gig done, 20 .edu and .gov backlinks, should I ping them?

Yes, I ping all my backlinks individually with pingdevice.com and then create RSS feeds of them and submit the feed to pingler.com

This looks pretty cool... I was going to buy a bit of software on here, that turns your urls into one rss link, that you can then ping... but it looks like this site does the same thing?

Yes I ping them just to make sure they get noticed by the search engines.

In my opinion, Pinging your site on a regular basis is the very excellent step for letting your search engines to know about your updates for your site.

Yes I also ping my backlinks to pingomatic and pingler. This is a good way to let search engines crawl and index your pages first.

No we're not using any tools, it's naturally by google.

Usually the lower quality ones. The higher quality sources are crawled frequently. So I don't worry too much about those.

usually i use ping-o-matic... works well... =) and I've got a program which send pings to 3k sites... =) also generating backlinks up to 30k.. but i rarely use it xD

I do not think that pinging help for indexing by Google, if the site and the pages of the site already indexed by Google then your link will be indexed very soon, without doing any other activity like pinging, bookmarking.

I used to but not anymore. Found it to be ineffective nowadays. Also, pinging too often will raise the "spam" flag in front of Google's eyes.

I just let Google to find them naturally. I have heard a lot of opinions about pinging your backlinks and I found out that whether you ping it or not, Google will eventually index your backlinks. So I don't make it hard for myself. I just wait Google to index them.

Ya exactly Google will index your link if the website have enough caching power, if no then even after pinging your link will not be indexed.

BulkPing.com, You can either straight ping them or roll them into an RSS feed. Best site IMO for getting your links indexed.

I suggest instead of pinging build backlinks to the built links. It will not only make sure those links will get cached up but also you will be on safer side. So instead of buying a pinging software buy a software which can throw some quick links.

Wow with pingdevice I just pinged over 400 forum profiles in less then 3 min.. Crazy cool..
Also pinged .. 160 bookmarks in less then a min, and 85 blog post in about 40 sec. 297 article directory bookmarks in 1 min 30..

I really doubt that search engines would do anything. Why dont I juse keep pinging my competitors links then?

Instead of pinging your backlinks why not backlink them instead? That way you end up getting more juice and it looks far more natural. Trust me it is a far better approach to grabbing page one rankings.
