Is there any specific way to promote an Article Directory?

Hi,
I have built a new article directory on wordpress. I have invited some people and currently I can see there are more than 1000 authors. Some of the posts are coming up in Google and Yahoo. That is pretty good. But how can I bring more traffic? Previously I used article directories for promotion. But now the concern is about an article directory. I am using blog commenting and link exchange. Also using twitter for promotion. How can I create links to the internal pages? It is not possible to get that much links every day. I am getting around 300 UV and more than 150 posts per day.Thus I can not post that many articles to other high PR directories. So if you have any idea please share.

their is not only articals submission fro seo . Other way are open like forums, blog ,social bookmarking ,reciprocal .So do this all

to get more traffic for your article directory just get top rankings for keyword "free article directory". it will help you grab more authors as well as more visitors.

Promote your article directory in forums. You can share your directory in forums and invite people to register and submit articles in your website

So far so good and you have been taking the steps one by one and very properly. From now on, only time will help you because you are moving in the accurate direction and it's just the matter of time to be patient before more and more new signups would be made and fresh materials added to your directory. The world famous article directories have been operating online for years and their stats are very great these days.

Website recognition is gained and materialized in the course of time and gradually because Google do know that quality sites are moderated by webmasters having long term ideas in minds and not being too hasty. Try working on free and paid traffic building methods for your directory like renting advertising spots on other directories with thousands of authors and exchanging links with admins of them if possible.
