Hi! I'm slowly getting backlinks for one site. Yesterday I had according to Yahoo Site Explorer I add 215 BL. Today it shows only 105 BL. I know that some BL will eventually disappear... but 110 links in one day! Did anyone seen anything similar happening? |

Have a look at this: Backlinks Checker Tool - Backlink Watch. It will show you where the backlinks were from and the anchor text. Also it may not update as fast as the Yahoo Site Explorer, so if you compare the two you may be able to find out which ones are missing.

Also, you could loo at the backlinks that Majestic SEO says your site has. This may be useful to compare to Yahoo, but it's a paid tool

Aren't Yahoo discontinuing Site Explorer? That might explain it if it's winding down. Disclaimer: I might have dreamt this.

Every backlink service calculate stuff differently. As long as it does not affect your SERP, I would not worry too much about it. -Andrew |

YSE has definitely done something since yesterday. All of my sites are showing half as many or less BLs than they were just yesterday.

Same happened to me. It's not because of our backlink building campaigns it's because of YSE. Any idea what they are doing?

Maybe the service is starting to wind down? Isn't it supposed to be defunct by the end of the year?

Same for me. As to why it happens, I have no clue. It's happened before though, so maybe it'll come back.
