Could anyone tell me on average how long does it take for a backlink from social bookmarking sites to get noticed.

I have not pinged them because i thought they would get crawled fairly often anyway.

aswel one more thing about pinging, does pinging just make your links get noticed quicker, say if i did not ping a link would it not get noticed?

Yes you need to ping especially if your profile is new.

You need to get your profile(s) indexed.

Use linklicious.me or just ping yourself.

I would recommend using BMD with around 500-1000 accounts for any kind of bookmarking success.

How long backlink from social bookmark will get notice is vary, so be patient.

Pinging will make your backlink crawl by robot but it doesn't guaranty that your backlink will get index fast.

It will not take a long time for a backlink from a social bookmarking site to get noticed. And yes, pinging helps your backlinks to get noticed quicker.

I find it takes about 3-7 days for your links to appear. I never ping

I know the search engines find them right away. I just use the free tool at the monkee, which gives 25 social bookmarks, and it's all I use to get my new sites indexed. The search engines always find my sites the next day.

Yea bookmarking demon is awesome if you use it correctly.

Currently I have 880 account across 55 different bookmarking sites.

I just let it run overnight for every page I create on any of my websites.

Super fast indexing and great backlinks.

I also scrapebox the hell out of all my 880 accounts, I figure if I can get my profiles to a higher PR, maybe 1 or 2 the backlinks will be that much stronger.

1 tip with BMD, make sure you use RSS camo and private proxies.

Can you please give the evidence. I do not believe that after pinging Google will index or crawl your profile link. Ping is good for notify the sites that your blog has been update, I do not see any help regarding indexing after pinging. If the website is good enough then obviously your link will be cached.

I would not worry too much about the backlinks from social bookmarking sites. They have low values in front of Google's eyes. Concentrate on finding quality, high PR backlink and focus your effort here.

I agree with you. And bookmarking at high PR sites are easy index than low PR site. I think you just need bookmark at few high PR sites as:
1.digg.com
2. stumbleupon.com
3. delicious.com
4. reddit.com
5. diggo.com

I think if you ping your all backlinks then it may marked by google that it has came from one person. This might harm your site. Somewhere I have read this. I can't remember where. Is it right?

Why would you ping your backlinks if Google will notice them naturally? I just let Google to crawl them naturally.

That exactly not like that social bookmarking really matter in SEO. If you submit your story from one reputated social profile then you might get lost of vote and that link frequently crawled by Google. But if you do only spam submission then such type of bookmarking can not increase your search engine ranking.
