How many backlinks should I make per day?

I'm currently manually creating my backlinks for my websites, but I notice that I am getting caught by askimet alot, and am worried my domain is or is in jeopardy of getting banned by it.

So my question, do you have any tips for not getting put in askimets spam queue? - Yes, i'm posting on relevant blogs with decent comments (no automated spammy bs).

Also, whats a safe number of backlinks to create each day then?

Try to use small keywords.Long tail keywords are easily caught by akimset.
And If your domain is new then don't create too much links.Fill your site with unique contents.
And manual creation of backlinks won't affect that much.Using software then you have to be careful

You have to keep consistency in building backlinks. There is no limit in making backlinks but not all at same day !

I think there is no limit when it comes to backlinks as long that it is related to the site to produce quality links that will improve your site's rankings.

The amount is irrelevant. What you need to pay attention is the CONSISTENCY.

If you build 10, keep on building 10 each day. By the end of the month, you'll have 300!

And Google loves consistent backlink (also termed Backlink Velocity).

Don't be To worried about how many backlinks you build per day (Since you are manually submitting to blogs, you can't really over do it in one day).

It is more of a marathon then a sprint.

Keep in mind that just because you may submit 100 blog comments today, it doesn't mean that the Search Engines will find all those backlinks the same day.

Be sure to create a variety of links over a long period of time with random breaks in between.

What you need to do is to do relevant back links but don't do too fast, too fast means don't build links in ,000 in one day however, within 100 may be good.

Consistency really matters for Google! Try to maintain it and you don't need to get worried about the number of backlinks....it does not make any sense!

Try to switch blogging platforms you comment too. Submit to drupal and typepad as well.

Yes, you should maintain the consistency along with the quality. AS there are no limits, so try to get as many but in a fluent and continuous way. But remember quality is the factor, not the quantity.

There is no limit. I have seen site that have an average of 2,000 backlinks a day and for a year. Just build them consistently.

If you use keywords instead of your name, askimet will catch you. I do not think they will ban your domain for doing it because if it is right anyone can create problems for their competitors.

I do not think without knowing the niche of your website any one can guide safe line of backlink count. Some niches get more backlinks (normal methods) while some others can hardly get one or two per day.

Agreed, search engine won't find all backlinks you add, so as long as you keep the number in a certain range(50 per day, for example), you needn't worry about it.

I do agree with you. Getting back links is not some kind of uncompleted task that is to be accomplished for a while by stopping all the works and then take rest. You can't take it as a load that is to be uploaded for a while.

You can make 15-100 backlinks one day, but must keep the velocity, and after create backlinks you must bookmark, ping, or tweet by twitter to make the spider find your links. This is hard and boring work, so you can outsource it.

Don't go for quantity but go for quality. Get links from authoritative websites that are relevant to what your website is all about. There is no limit number of backlinks to get.

I was curious from an Askimet point of view, I manually create all of my backlinks and make decent comments but somehow got my site blacklisted by Askimet already.

I wonder if theres a velocity rate at which you can submit to blogs.

I had maybe submitted 10-15 comments across various blogs before it got blacklisted and all my comments are instantly in spam queue now.

Build as many as your like. Blog commenting is a strategy, but probably far from the most effective one. I'd alternate approaches a little.

I agree with consistency, I outsource all my backlinking and use various people so various methods are used. I'll use one way for a couple of days on posts and then change to someone else for another for few posts and so or combine them, so it's always changing between bookmarking, profiles, comments etc. I always make it a rule to use both follow and no follow links as well. People have different theories on this, I'm of the mind set that a good combination of both looks good in the eyes of the search engines.

All links must be niche-related. No need for huge backlinks each day. Google will somehow will penalize you that way. Try creating a normal back linking method to about 20 links a day. This will greatly help your site.

50 to 100 a day is decent number of backlink per day.

20 Article Submission
20 Bookmarking
20 Forum Post
20 Blog comments/ Answer site like yahoo answer.

With blog commenting on askimet enabled blogs, I would keep it between 5-10 a day. You can build more links with other types of links. As long as you do not over do it with spammy links like 1000 profile links per day to your website! if your website does not have authority it could get penalized for a very long time!

Don't JUST create blog comments, do all sorts of different things like article marketing, profile links, guest posting, web 2.0 articles, social media, etc.

You need to diversify and then you can create as many backlinks as you humanly can while watching your rankings skyrocket

You completely miss what you are trying to do when building backlinks.

Google is not looking at some number that they think one person could create a day and then saying that anything more than that is gaming the system. In fact one person building links daily is gaming the system and is not what Google wants you to do.

Any link building is gaming the system in Google's eyes. Whether you build 10 a day or 10k a day as far as Google is concerned you are artificially increasing the number of backlinks to your site. If they catch you they will punish your site. Your goal is to create as many links as you can without getting caught.

What you are trying to do when building backlinks is mimic what would happen when other people find your site and build backlinks to it. The "natural pattern" you are trying to emulate has nothing at all to do with what one person can do but what all the people seeing and liking your site would be able to do. This could and sometimes is a very large number of links in a very short time. Think about those pages/sites that go viral for one reason or another. They get a huge number of links, get real popular for awhile, get a huge number of people linking to them and rush up to the top of the search results. If numbers alone were an issue this would not happen.

If large numbers of links in a short period of time was the problem then any site that went viral would get punished by Google and we know this is not what happens.

People coming to your site, liking it, and then linking to it is "natural" anything else is "unnatural". How many links one person could do themselves does not even enter into the equation.


Now if you do build 10k links a day instead of 10 you may make it easier for Google to tell that your links are artificial if you do not plan ahead and make sure you do things correctly as it is easier to see patterns in large numbers. The key though is to try and build your links intelligently not matter how many you build. All these low numbers people are quoting are just made up and meaningless. All you are doing is saying that I am going to cheat the system but try and do it in such a way that I hope and wish I do not get caught. Much better to spend some time testing and learning the system so you know what works and what does not.
