My site got ranked... how to take it to the next level?

So my wholesale website got ranked 2nd page of google for exact search term.I don't know how good this is but I take it as an accomplishment.

My question to you guys is how do I take it to the next level? I want to get ranked for the broad search of my keyword and not exact. How would I go about doing that?

It is a wholesale website ran with opencart.

SEO is a on going process; So keep in mind your competitors may beat you. So keep it maximum and quality works.

Keep working on your backlinks.

I would also suggest you do a full analysis of your on-site seo factors. Simple and quick adjustments can lead to big jumps in rankings.

You can rank well in Google, but still not make money. Of course, it's a great place to be, but in order to convert you need backlinks and continuous content.

It's always a good idea to look at the competition and see where their backlinks are coming from and copy their successes.

I'm not saying plagiarize, but it pays to see what it is that makes the top ranking sites work well and pay.

Keep doing what you've done before and try do exchange links with high quality sites use longtail keywords as anchor text.
