Build My Rank (BMR) works for me

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share with you that I am using BMR for two weeks now and 2 of

my sites improved on rankings on Google.

I must say they are not new sites but I was able using BMR to rank from place

26 to place 13 in a keyword with 2,900 exact searches and another keyword

with 9,900 exact searches from place 28 to place 13 as well in a manner of only

two weeks.


How does it work for you guys? Anyone else feels improvements?

Yep, definitely still working! Usually a few BMR links is all it takes to get to page 2, or even page 1 in some cases, at least in the low-comp niches I'm in.

I hope it will keep on working for long, have a lot to promote using it, best links you want to get from PR pages and in context.

Just a funny thing with Google, I promote a keyword to my home page which is of-course also on-page SEO compatible for it and it shows me an inner page for that keyword in Google and not the home page.

Will it get fixed by Google later? Anyone has any idea?

Build My Rank is a service that allows you to post short articles and place a link in them to your site using your desired keyword.

They later publish your article on their blog network and so you get a link from context on a high PR page.

The site actually explains everything in detail, there's a video on the home page so watch it.

some times the homepage ranking drop or google dance so the inner page which is ranking higher will be shown. Don't worry about it the homepage will be back, happen to me lots of time

the hardest part of BMR is you have to submit original content - i tried some spun content and it did not get accepted. you can get 30 links per day (3 per 450 words) - so to maximize the service you need a ton of original content. i am comparing this with LinxBoss, which is obviously more expensive, but they add your contextual links to original content that they provide.

They are strict with this, but I find that I can bomb out 150 word little articles in about 2 minutes. All my articles have the same theme, but are obviously worded slightly differently each time.

This month I have submitted about 130 articles and they have all been accepted.
So for example, if you had a site about handbag reviews, you would write a 150 word article working the keyword 'handbag reviews' somewhere into it. All my posts just highlight the benefits of using customer reviews to do your shopping. They all hit the same points each time, but worded differently.

Seems to be working well for me and has given my SEO a nice little kick

a little tip for those who using BMR, include your anchor text as early as possible in the post. Because short snippet of your posts will be shown in the main homepage where the actual high PR is...this is to make your link appear on the homepage so you can get some link juice from there

I've been using BMR for several months now with 200+ live posts and I can tell you I've seen a BOOST in my rankings! This is definitely a solid blog network and content has to be unique not spun which makes it better quality network.

I also have good luck with BMR. I'm a big fan of the service. I also think it's important to have some link diversity, so it's not the only links I use, but I get great results with BMR.

Build My Rank is awesome. I have it incorporated into my SEO packages (wait, was that a shameless plug? ). One trick I use - a lot of the blogs you submit to only show an excerpt of each post on the front page, so if you really want to get the value of having your link on a high PR page, make sure you use the link in the first couple of sentences.

The backlinks in BMR are quite effective and the site has a clean interface which i like when using SEO services. One thing though - the service can be really strict with the content. Spinning articles is not allowed (which is tempting to do when you know you have to come up with lots of posts to get the most out of BMR) and if your English has a few holes in it, you can expect to have your post rejected. I heard editors even reject posts in random. Not sure why.

The thing with BMR is you have to post hundreds of articles with the link in order to get a decent ranking. Writing 100s of original posts on the same keyword might be difficult, as they are very strict in their approval. Most of the times, rejection rates are more than approval rates. Spinning is also not allowed, but if one spends the time, they can get the best results from BMR.

It's not that difficult. I've submitted thousands of posts for myself and clients and rarely deal with rejected posts.

It is time consuming though.

BMR takes a lot of work on a consistent basis but it's by far the best SEO service I've ever used.

It's not that bad though, 150 words is a breeze. Just set aside a certain amount of time per day and only write BMR articles during that time-frame.

Close all distractions such as emails, skype, and all that BS.

Good advice. It only takes 30-45 minutes to crank out 10 posts, but if you have 5 domains getting 50/day is painful. I realize you don't have to do 10/domain/day, but you might as well get the max out of it.

'Build My Rank' has taken my main site (very popular domain match clickbank product) from 42 through to 7 with just 30 posts.

It is extremely effective, but don't hit a fresh site with it. In my experience, it is worth getting an outsourcer (you could do it yourself of course) to build 20-30 profile links to it first...leave a couple of days and then use 'Build My Rank'.

Go for 'minimum dose effectiveness' - I always write a minimum of 20 posts, wait for movement from there and add in groups of ten from there

You obviously have no idea how BMR works. It's nothing like a link wheel and you can't just do it by yourself.

Hmm...whenever I start a new site I start BMR right away and it's been highly effective. Why would you say not to hit a fresh site with it?

I've had good luck using it with new sites as well. In fact, getting some good links first seems to make my sites dance less when I build other types of links.

I've had mixed results with BMR. I was a member for quite some time and built links to a variety of websites. Unfortunately I've gone back in time and checked many of the domains that I had links from in the BMR network and a good majority of them have lost their pagerank entirely.

Granted this was when they first started and things may have changed, but I didn't receive as much benefit as I thought I was going to.

You have to have your own account. BMR does not allow what you want. The closest you come to is get an account for the monthly fee, and outsource your post writing.

Hey, this is just from my experience (that being said, I've used 'Build My Rank' on over 30 sites my client's sites now) but if I use 'BMR' on a fresh site, the serps seem to stay pretty static for a couple of weeks.

If I use 'BMR' on a site that has had 20-30 profile links indexed through something like "backlink energiser" and then hit them with 'BMR', the positive shift in serps is within a couple of days instead. I think it has to do with link diversity...it seems that google favours it and rewards you accordingly.

On another note, how many posts do people use to hit low to mid competition keywords?

I've got one medium/tough keyword that I have about 60 posts for (along with a lot of other links), and I'm currently ranking 11th. I've only been working on it about a month though. I'm expecting to be top 5 within the next month. Going to be using about 100 more BMR posts and other link building strategies.

Hey there Dave,

I'm sure they will for you, however for 'local' I'd suggest around 30 posts per keyword.

You'll see yourself sitting in 'numero uno' in no time.

keep in mind to add the anchor text at the beginning of the posts...because the real PR is at the homepage and short snippets of your posts will be featured at the homepage for awhile till its push to second page. By having your link at the top of the post you will get the PR link power from the homepage.

Yeah, I didn't post any results for about a month there. But I kept tracking everything and have posted a few updates since. BMR is still in the lead. My BMR site was deindexed for about a week though, but I managed to bring it back.

Firstly, let me say that I'm a big fan. I've read both your WF and your Blog versions of your experiment.

Can I ask a question though...you say that your site got 'de-indexed', how did you bring it back? Did you just carry on posting BMR posts to it? or did you do something else?
