Hi everyone - I currently have 1 micro niche site ranked #1 on a low volume keyword that is making me $30-$40 a month. This has me so excited! The problem I have however, is that I have no idea how to get most of my microniche sites onto page 1. Normally, when I create a low competition Micro Niche Site, I submit each page as an article to the top 10 web directories. This is always good enough to get me ranked in the SERPS at about 20-40. But after this step, I have no idea what to do next. I submit to RSS directories, set up blogs and hit those with AMR blasts, hit a list of 250 social bookmarking sites + pligg and do some blog commenting but none of it seems to move the needle. In complete honesty, Once I do all of this once I tend to stop creating backlinks and this could be my problem! I just don't know. So what actually works for everyone else out here targeting these low competition (1000-2000 visitors per month) Micro Niche sites? |

Try building out your site a bit with tightly themed related content. Then continue to build build backlinks over time. the big G likes to see steady progression. Article directories and blog comments are safe and effective ways to build back links.

The methods you describe are pretty much what I use for my own micro-niche sites. My results are a mixed bag as well, but generally I find it relatively easy to rank on page 1. Having said that my on-page SEO is bang on target for my KWs and my sites are all over 6 months old. Are your sites up to scratch as far as on-page factors are concerned? Which theme(s) do you use? How old are you domains/sites? Since Panda was rolled out it's harder than ever to rank micro-niche sites unless your content is well written. I've lost SERPs on sites that I outsourced content for, but the sites where I wrote stuff myself are still doing well. |

Hey there - here is an example domain of mine: orthopedicinserts.org - I dont mind sharing since this site is one of those I thought it was 1000 visitors a month, but google kw tool exact search is more like 300 lol. Anyhow, I use Clickbump SEO to make sure my on page ranks 100% with KW density of 1-3%. I also add the keyword in Italics and underlined once though Clickbump SEO does not check that. I write the content myself but it is not super great because mostly I am re-writing articles quickly. I spellcheck and everything should be readable if a bit scattered at times. I use heatmap theme because I can manually set it up to my liking extremely quickly. I use red themes because the default adsense blocks really pop against red themes. My experiments with color blended adsense ads have not been very successful. Anyhow, this site I gave the URL to above was registered like 4 days ago and is ranked right now at 30 or so in google but that may be due to QDF. I find most sites take about 2 months to find their place and generally rise in rank a bit during this period. I think here is no easy answer here other than to submit more articles, comment more blogs and wait, but I like to make sure that I am not missing anything! |

When you submit your articles make sure in your recourse box you have 2 links. One to your homepage and the other to your inner page. This will give your homepage strength and will make your inner pages rank even easier.

This is a really good tip that I have only recently started practicing. I was worried that some directories wouldnt allow 2 urls in resource text but that doesnt really seem to be the case. I have heard of one that would allow 1 anchor text and 1 http url, but I forget which that was.

| Hey Thanks - I somewhat prescribe to the chase success model of doing things, so once sites rank first page of google for me, I try to add 1-2 pages of content per month. Usually less but that is my goal.
