Te only way you can confirm is to test it over and over again. I have tested the Google Plus Ones and I have to say that they really make a difference on Crawl Stats and SERPS

Google is a search engine company....

They are looking for new ways to rank websites that are natural and based on human to human interactions.

Google +1 is one of those methods...

Yes it effects your rankings no matter how much you wish it did not.

SEO is now:
onsite + backlinks + social media = rankings!

Doesnt hurt to get as much as you can so you are prepared.

I don't think the +1 button has much effect on your actual search rankings, but it does have a definite effect on your search engine click thru rate. If I'm given a page full of search results, I'm going to gravitate toward the link that has images of people I know recommending it. And that's what happens when someone clicks a +1 button on your page.

Plus as someone else already pointed out, when someone with a Google Plus account clicks the +1 button on your page, it leaves a backlink to your page in their account for all of their contacts to see.

So even if it doesn't effect your SEO, it does generate free traffic.

Hi,

If some of you follow SEOmoz.org, you will know that they did some comprehensive tests and it pointed out that Google + (if used on large scale) do really influence your positions in Google.

However, don't focus too much on this, because at the moment it doesn't have much "influence" in your rankings. If you focus on backlinks and great content, your efforts will pay off better!

It doesn't hurt to put the Google + buttons on your website -- if someone likes your post, he can Google + it!
