Hello everybody, I am new to the forum, but have been writing search engine optimized articles for Infobarrel for about a year. I recently decided to start a niche site after Google's Panda updates, and am starting to see a decent amount of search engine traffic from the niche site (5-10 organic visits/day). I am more than pleased with the search engine traffic, but the CTR seems to be pretty bad for a niche site. I was wondering if any of the gurus or even rookies could evaluate the ad placement on my website? I would be extremely grateful! The website's URL is Casual Dress Shoes News-Your Casual Dress Shoes Resource In addition, I would appreciate absolutely any tips that you had to offer to me in regards to the site as a whole, or specific details. I am writing about 3 articles/day for the site with amazon affiliate links and adsense blocks within them, so there is no doubt that I will see some substantial search engine traffic from them in the near future; however, traffic is nearly useless if your CTR is low. Thanks so much everybody! |

And I also don't have much luck when using the same color for my ads as all the rest of the content on my page. Ad blindness tends to set in pretty quick when it has that look. Try changing your ad color to 000080. I've had luck with that one. Others may disagree.. but this is just my experience. | |

Throw away the skyscraper ad, move the 250 square ad to the top of the sidebar, add an "hr" (horizontal rule) above the 728 link ad to separate it from the blog description so it looks more like a nav. Also use the 4-link, it's bigger text and performs better.
