|  Is Google Analytics correct?
How accurate are google analytics? On one of my sites analytics says 10 people visited the site yet on the same day my amazon shows 40 clicks....  Which is a bit odd, does anybody have any ideas? |

Of course analytics is correct....Check your analytics settings or wait for a little while.

I think you might made any small mistake in putting tracking code. As that was happened to me as well some pages of my site were not tracking correctly so just check the code on your site.

add statcounter as another way to track visitors and compare the 2. Mine are both approx. the same, GA is always less though |

i would trust analytics over amazon. amazon maybe counting robots whereas analytics will not

I have read it is with in 5% of accuracy. I would give it time and make sure your code is on every single page, in the header.

I'm going to throw a counter arguament in here as I have always used google analytics. I have a site that has daily uniques of 250 page views on average, I changed something about 3 weeks ago on the site (the theme on a wp site) and the traffic according to analytics dived. I have just logged into my adsense account to have a look and it is saying that the traffic didn't dive. Both google products yet both telling me different results. I have checked my AW stats and it is very similar to adsense. Very strange. If someone can come up with an explanation would love to hear it.

idk, goog analytics says that i've gone to a certain page and spent 40 minutes on it ( can check by looking city by city and mines really specific). i deff havent. it also says i do this like two-three times a week.
