Default An interesting observation - and a possible solution for exact match domain dilemmas

Hey guys,
I just discovered an interesting observation today and thought I would share this. For some it may be common knowledge, but this is a first for me - so Im hoping it might prove useful for others here.

Im in the process of promoting one of my most recent websites and have been monitoring my primary keyword over the last few days. Interestingly, this keyword contains the word "business" and I couldn't help but notice that one of the sites ranking 3rd on Google's first page didn't contain the word "business" and yet - the entire domain was being presented in BOLD text. Instead, Google showed the domain in bold text, containing the word "company"

I thought this was rather interesting.

I then remembered seeing a strategy whereby you can enter a tilda or of course ~ before certain keywords into Google search and Google will highlight highly relevant keywords. This is a common strategy amongst SEO professionals apparently.

So I then went about entering ~business into Google's search and the results were interesting.

Google showed the keywords 'company', 'companies', 'business' and 'businesses' all in BOLD text.

This in essence *could* potentially be something to consider when trying to find exact match domains (when the ones you might want are all taken), in that, you might be able to find a HIGHLY RELEVANT keyword alternative that Google will not only favour, but highlight within the search results.

Obviously I cant say with certainty if this would help in terms of ranking, but it may just be something to think about.

I noticed that too...It seems that if the webpage has a "synonyms" with the keyword you searched, the text will be bold from the result page.

But who knows, looks like G is becoming more like a lady...
