Can suggest waht im doing wrong thats making my adsense cpc 1p/0p

Hi everyone

Ive asked a few questions recentley and everyones always helped like crazy and i cant wait till im over this hump of my first website and give back to the community.

Ive got adsense on my website here and in my articles im <h1> tagging all post titles and the bolding my main keywords a few times in the articles. And all the adsense adverts seem to be targeted. But there paying like 1p cpc and yesterday one of the links in the top nav bar where ive got to long link units and the cpc was 0!

Now im not targeting massively high paying keywords but the google keywords tool says there atleast £1 cpc each so i should get around 50% of that(50p) and not 1p.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

I think adsense is just giving my site the lowest paying ads because its flagged as a spam blog unfortunatly. I put wp robot onit and blasted the sh*t out of it after i had started with hand written unique keyworded content. If thats the case then lesson learned the hard way. And iyl just stick to unique hand written articles in the future.

But if anyone can suggest something if its not just because ive ruined my site with wp robot id appreciate it.

And i tryed to target the main keyword for each article with 2% density.

I know that you don't think that its because of the keyword phrases that you are targeting, but chances are that it is.

I havebeen doing Adsense for years, and my experience shows that I don't earn 50% of the CPC value on clicks. My srimates are between 10-20%.That's why I try and only target keyword phases that have CPC values over $5.00.

How many Adsense blocks do you have on the page? I find that I make more per click if I have 1 or 2 as opposed to 3.

ive got 3 ad units and 3 link units at the moment but i have noticed with just one ad unit on its gets 19p.

Have you noticed that with more units its like the cpc is cut from the usual cpc ie 19p

to cpc divided by number of ads ie with 6 ads its like 19/6=3 so i get around 3p per click instead of the full 19.

Stupid theory but it looks like you dont get the full cpc if youve got more than one ad on the page.

Do you thing theres any truth to that? Obviously probably not that exact maths but something like that.

Edit: I started this site off as a sniper site and didnt even consider the cpc when i chose my article title! I'yl never make that mistake again.

I don't know about that theory that your payout gets cut the more units you have on the page. But the more choices you give people, the more opportunities you give them to click on lower priced ads.

Have you tried putting in an ad block where your spalsh ad is, the Jillian Michaels ad?

Well i know its a silly theory and its early days yet but ive had two seperate situations where i was getting 19p per click whilst displaying a single ad unit. And then ive added five more ad units/link units and all my clicks went to 1p/5p.

Im going to wait and see but maybe ive just got low paying articles on my site at the moment. Im writing some high paying targeted articles now.

But my theroy must be wrong because no matter how many ad units the adwords payer will have to pay the same rate for that click
