Default Curious about Adsense

Hey Guys, I have recently started building niche adsense websites. I should have 20 of them ready in about a month or so. I never really made money with adsense as it was never my priority moneymaker. So my question is..

If the 20 websites have proper SEO and backlinks built to them consistently and the keyword monthly search is at least 2000 per month, what is the average that each site could earn with adsense?

Thanks for your time everyone!

Yury

That will really vary a lot based on more than just traffic with things like the CPC and CTR that you will get on the sites as well as other competition for those keywords coming into play to determine how hard it will be for you to rank high in the search engines.

I've been off the Warrior forum for a while, but I'm back now. Check out my blog:

This is very hard to know because there are many factors that can increase your income and many factors that can decrease your income.

Your main focus is to get as much traffic to your site and as many people clicking on the ads. If you can get a lot of traffic and get between 50-200 clicks per day, you should do well.

Anyone else here have a good tip for Yury?

You really can't say the average earnings of each site even if you do proper SEO and backlinking. It depends on how many visitors have visited and clicked on your ads. If Adsense really not working for you, try affiliate or CPA banners as an alternative choice.

I think its the wrong approach today to massproduce sites for Adsense. I would rather pick one of them with the best potential and work a lot on it instead and make it really good. Thin nichesites wont do much good today and it is a lot better to be really good with one site and "be the authority".

Thanks Man! I have never done monetization via adsense. I do mostly amazon and some other affiliate promotions. Just wanted to try adsense and see how it goes. Some people say the make decent money, but the key is scaling up and building on volume

I agree. I have built a variety of sites that host my adsense ads. I let them sit there for some time and I barely saw any money coming in from them.

At the same time I was developing a larger site which focused more on creating quality ongoing content. In the long run that main site now produces more income from adsense then any of the other sites ever have.

Thanks Presto!

Quick question for you... How much off page SEO have you done for your smaller websites as compared to your main site?

Thanks in advance

We've followed a similar path, starting around 6 months ago and have just over 400 websites under our belt so far, and growing at the rate of around 100/month.

We're getting very targeted traffic for our niches. The good thing is that we don't have to put in too much SEO, because we're fairly picky and meticulous on our keyword research. We've been lucky enough to have made just over 5K in May with this process and it's going quite well. Hang in there, you can do it!

Like many others have said, it depends on many factors. Generally #1 of Google will get over 60% of clicks but it also depends on your title and description. The other important factor is how much advertisers are paying per click. Most savvy AdWords marketers know they can get cheaper clicks on the display (content - AdSense) network. So even if you are targeting a keyword that shows a cost of $10 in the Keyword Tool, don't be shocked if you get 50 clicks for less than $1.

The other factor is placement and blend. North Americans always start from the top left, that's how we learn to write and type so top left is a hot-spot, same with the header. You can see this fact from Google heatmaps. About blending, if your ad looks too much like an ad, people will avoid it like the pest. So if you have a white background, have your ad with a white background, no (or white) border, black text and blue links.

Google also has their rules on their ads, you have to have a specific minimum amount of pixels between their ads and your content. Here's a couple tricks for you:

1- If you sell a product oriented website, put pictures above your Google ads, make sure there is sifficient spacing between them.

[Picture] [Picture] [Picture]

Our product some other yet another last other
ads by Google

The idea above is pretty much only for side by side ads. The above technique works very well and almost looks like the picture is part of the ad, it just makes it look nicer and gives your site a better feel. If you don't know how to place those types of ads in WordPress, you can get a plugin that will allow you to put widgets in posts and pages, you can get it at codecanyon.

#2- For some reason, no matter what my site designs, using a black background, white text and white link in sidebar widgets works rather well. In my own experience, if you don't have to offer what your visitor wants, they will look there for another solution.

#3- Talk to Google! No one knows more about what Google wants than Google themselves. They're generally pretty good in answering emails, 3-5 days. Ask them if you are using proper ad placement and if they can give you some tips and tricks. I never had my AdSense account disabled or banned and always followed their advice.

#4- PRIVACY POLICY!! This is a must!! TOS and Disclaimer is also pretty good and if you have the extra cash, get a trust guard seal.

#5- Give AdSense exclusivity! Google loves the sense of being an exclusive partner so don't show ads from a competitor like BidVertiser or AdBrite and don't sell ad space. If you decide to sell ad space, make sure it's worth your time. Also, don't buy traffic, not even AdWords. If you plan on buying traffic, remove the ads for the time you're paying for traffic.

Hope this helps and good luck to you

I have a few sites with great CTR. Just checked my adsense for May and one site averaged 29% CTR 650 impressions 189 clicks

It's about getting the right niche, the right people, and the right placement.

I think you are right on the money:

Those are the numbers that I see. I approach 1% but I have rarely gone above it. And I have number of sites which show adsense ads.

(BTW: I would love to know the niche sites that are getting above a 5% CTR.)

As I see it, Adsense is a numbers game. The more visitors you get to see your adsense ads, the more money you will make.

While I do get a check from Google every month, I would never recommend adsense as your only revenue generating model.

Google it seems, is always changing the rules of the game. I certainly don't blame them. The ads shown are from paying customers of google. They are commited to taking care of their paying customers. Not those who show adsense ads on their websites.

But if you are going to play with google, you play by their rules.

My advice is this: a business built on adsense alone is like a house built on a foundation of sand... it can crumble at any moment.

Do adsense, for sure, but also diversify your revenue in other areas.

Your house could be washed away at any moment.

It is hard to say "How Much" they will make.

1) Depends on the keywords (some keywords pay Dollars per click and some pay pennies)

2) How much traffic you get and what your CTR is. Google can adjust your payout if your clicks generate more sales for the advertiser.

3) Your site layout. I have found it works best to try the blend the ads into the content of the site to make them look like normal text and links as much as possible.

Hy,

I think adsense is a number game too.

Example; you write daily posts, so your website after a year is growing up to 900 sites (posts).
So with minimal seo, so you have 1 visitor each day per post= 900 visitors each day.

Make your theme so, that the ads are very well blend in (tip; joel comm adsense secret).

So when you have 900users a day, with 5% ctr- thats 45 clicks each day, lets say x0,30$, you make a few hundred dollars every month.

Question to the professionals; Is ist against google TOS, when I blend my ads so, that their title is in same color as the title in my post?

Lets say I have my title color in black, and so I wrapped the ad in the content without a border, in the same color as my post; title black color , content in black color, ad url light grey....
Is this against google TOS?

When its not aganist google TOS, so you have the courage to do it , I think your ctr will be sky rocket, then so are the ads very well blended in,absolut totally. I think blue color ist the best only for links, make youtr textlinks in your sidebar in the same blue color as the ads links and out an skyscraper in your sidebar under your latest articles(categories) too, it looks like further articles.......

An read the ebook from joel comm adsense secret, its worth it to read.

best wishes

Though there are many factors impact adsense earnings, I think SEO is still one of the main issue. If a site cannot get enough organic or target traffics, the clicks and margin must be pretty low.
In fact, we have many seo clients have their adsense earning raised after top 10 ranking on google.

Yeah this is a tough question to answer because the money you make depends on so many factors like what niche they're in (credit card, loans, mortgage, insurance adsense pay way more)...how many clicks/visitors you get for each site. If your SEO was set up initially the right way and you have alot of unique content...then you should get some decent traffic.

Also make sure to use google analytics so you can see where traffic is coming from and what keywords you're ranking for.

Your question has been answered plenty of times in this thread but I thought I would just mention that one thing you can expect with adsense is that your earning will fluctuate.

If you want your earnings to fluctuate mostly in an upwards direction, don't just build your sites and forget em.

Even though the set it and forget it approach is sort of what the lifestyle is all about, by putting just a bit of time towards your sites, you'll see a much higher ROI.

Last month my earnings didn't go up at all. So this month I did a little bit of maintenance and my earnings have risen a steady 35%
