HI guys, I am reviewing a website that received a violation from Adwords and am struggling to find anything wrong with the site. Here is what they wrote to my friend: We've reviewed your account and found that one of your sites is in violation of our Landing Page and Site Policies. Customer ID: ------------- Display URL: -----------.com Please note that ad traffic to the above URL will be suspended and all new ads pointing to this URL will be disapproved. Any ideas? |

What I found reviewing the account was slightly inaccurate destination URL along with capitalization. Could this have caused it?

honestly, id almost say forget it. this happened to me and wasnt resolved. i had to make a new site (in my sig), map that domain, get it indexed, and then reapply with adwords. took me 5 weeks to fix it. waste of time.

lack of feedback from Adwords support is very frustrating. It seems that they don't want to provide any customer support.

No, you must have broken the rules. A wrong url is just a stop and change. And if you did copy the message, that's even more proof. You don't have to have the complete url, just the domain. That is, you can list the display url as domain.com but have the click go to any page on the domain.com such as domain.com/signuphere.php. As long as the main domain of the url is the domain in the display, you are fine. Many do this as the destination url is just too long or looks ridiculous. It's a good way to track as well. If you did indeed have a different domain, that's a killer. You are telling google that you will forward people to other domains. They hate that. Paul |
