I'm going to start paying Microsoft Adcenter for traffic to one of my sites but I also have Adsense on this site and I've only made a few bucks over the course of months because it doesn't get much traffic from the Serps. My site is divided into sections, and one section is labeled 'Travel'. I plan on only sending traffic to this section of my site for now. Won't Google throw a flag if this obviously unnatural traffic is coming to the travel section and clicking Ads? Is this going to fly with Google, or should I remove Adsense from my site? |

Yeah many people just don't know that you can send paid traffic to adsense sites. They see "paid" and just don't bother to read anything. Rarely do they ever read everything on the TOS of adsense anyway. The so-called "landing page" is the most important thing. Google does not want you running paid ads with sites that are there for no other reason than to get an adsense click. Your site must offer something tangible other than hoping for an adsense click. Google and yahoo/Bing probably have the same policy. It's just a bad business practice on your end. Hard to generate enough clicks then a click on adsense, so it makes turning a profit almost impossible. It is perfectly okay to run a site that has adsense on adwords. (I know that shocks a lot of people.) Google tells you how to do it even. For example, you are selling model airplanes. The majority of your clickers are in the mood to buy one of yours. But in some cases, they may not find exactly what they want and are presented with adsense ads on the side as other options. It's the fact that they are selling model airplanes for their main monetization that makes it okay. Google also warns you that some paid traffic is just lousy. But then, paid traffic is not the only lousy traffic, is it? Google does not hate paid traffic. They love it. They love it to the tune of billion$ in profit$. Paul |
