Default Any Reviews on CTR Theme?

So I just came up on this Adsense ready theme called CTR Theme. It's selling for, I think $65.

Has anyone use this theme before? If yes, how was your results?

What caught my eye was that it has a lot of pretty cool features that "could" possibly increase my Adsense revenue. Any reviews or info would be great.

There is a WSO on this theme for $37. You can read more about it here:

I use theme for adsense web site and getting a good income. It's a very user friendly one to implement new adsense sites. You can buy it for $37.

We've purchased CTR Theme, but haven't got around to testing it on any of our sites yet. I will say that I'm REALLY impressed by the guy that created it. He's given some really good information away on his website that I've followed pretty closely and he originally built it for himself to use, which is pretty cool.

I've just started really getting into Adsense and use it on most of my Adsense sites. I'm noticing an average of 15% CTR across the sites I have it implemented on currently. Definitely worth the money!

I would be interested whether any of you guys ever got into trouble with Google by using a "high ctr" theme.

Variations of "high CTR" themes have been out for quite some time now. The CTR Theme is in-line with the Adsense TOS. Even then, it doesn't max out the ad and link units that you could use.

CTR theme generally uses 3 ad blocks and 1 link unit - nothing more. Even then, you don't have to use that many if you don't want to, either.

For informational sites that actually give valuable information that is worthy to the end user that have Adsense ads displayed in-line with the TOS, there really isn't an issue.

I know it's popular, but I have never found a need to buy a theme for
adsense. I mean, it's not rocket science to do a little hand coding
is it? How many sweet spots are there that one must buy a theme
for that? I copy this layout: school-grants.org

How does a theme get clicks? It sure depends on a whole lot more
than theme. Like I stated above, if you need a theme to place adsense,
then man you really should learn a little coding as well.

Or at least check out the plethora of freebies.

I am especially worried about LU's which mimic a menu, i would not always depend that Adwords people approve this. If they see that user experience/navigation is somewhat "misleading" they would simply can your account because you are encouraging low converting clicks.

Yes i know, there is a bunch of such themes..but i personally gotten VERY careful when it comes to Adsense

Understandable, but as I mentioned above, you have the option to not use the link unit and have full control over what is and isn't displayed.

The CTR theme Ad rotation is nice, I would consider buying just for that option alone As long as the source code of the theme wasn't doing anything funky with my Adsense pub-ID. .

I agree with you...
I dont know why is buying theme so popular? Like you said, it is not theme that gets clicks.
Im using free themes like Prosense. It is simple theme, easy to edit and change ads position.
If theme costs 37$ or more, i rather use that money for articles

I just started using Prosense myself as well. I try to vary my themes up as much as possible.

One question on Prosense - Is there a way to add your own widgets without your ad code shifting down (as opposed to swapping out your pub-id and using what is already built in)?

Also, do you know if this theme shifts ad blocks like CTR theme does as well?

EDIT - I went in and just used the specified color scheme in the default layout and created my own layouts in my Adsense account and just pasted those over what was already in the system and it works out a lot better. I didn't feel like using image ads on a few units, so this took care of it. Still wondering about the ad shifting though and if that does happen on this theme?

if there is something you need to change in theme just go to editor and you will see that all is done so simple even baby could undarstend.

About shifting... NO, it can't be done here.
However, you could do little programming and embade function

I use it and it works pretty good. Easy to manage and I can make micro sites that look good pretty quickly. Its worth the $67 or $37. I think I paid $67.

I believe this is one example of what TryBPO was referring to:

Hmm pretty expensive themes you have bought. I bought a ctr theme two months back named Magnum, it only cost me 35 bucks and works great!

I don't think people get banned for just because of the theme. It could be because of the site itself. That site might be violating google TOS.... but there can be several other reasons aswell.

Of course it's because they're breaking the TOS, the theme has nothing to do with it. I still see websites from the 90's, that have no theme what so ever.

All they have is text on a blank web page with a few images and some Adsense blocks and they've been going longer than Adsense has been around.

They also rank higher, than someone who invented in a fancy web design. Google doesn't care about your sites design so long as people can navigate it and find it useful, we're fighting a relevancy competition not a beauty competition.

Default Re: Any Reviews on CTR Theme?

We bought the CTR Theme in July. And straightaway there were problems and short-comings. Email to its developer "EV" usually went unanswered.

Then we found his tel # online (it has since disappeared online) and called him (a couple of times). EV answered the first 2-3 calls (then stopped answering and stopped returning voice-mail messages). He told us whatever he had to get us off the phone (and off his back about where / when is the fix or update coming out).

EV promised repeatedly many fixes and enhancements and new updates were just about to be 'released any day now' or... 'next Friday', and even 'over the coming weekend'. Unfortunately, for this customer, nothing of the sort ever happened. Eventually we stopped emailing and calling because they went and remain unanswered.

In short his customer service sucks. IMHO and experience, EV is not a man of his word. His promises are empty and hollow.

Like some on forums like this one, any one who airs factual, negative experiences about a product or service or person / seller is castigated, and made personae non grata. EV is that kind of seller. He does not like any one 'calling him out' for not delivering on his promises that he makes and re-makes and makes again... much like the old SNL skit about the dictator who draws a line in the sand (in EV's case deadlines) and then backs up and draws another and then another... and so on.

We are still waiting for the fixed update and have stopped using CTR Theme on the few sites build with it.

BTW, the CTR Theme version we got no longer has any automatic call-home and check for an update feature. So, like us, if you buy it you won't know if or when there might be an update.

So, my answer to anyone thinking about buying the CTR Theme by EV is DON'T.

You seriously called the guy and hassled him over a wordpress theme that costs $37. What could possibly have been so wrong.

That's exactly the reason why I choose Magnum CTR Theme over some mumbo jumbo CTR Theme from EV. Not only the price is reasonable (just $35,instead of 67), but they also have some outstanding support...!

I haven't had any good success with this theme, not only it is more expensive but also its worthless. Later my friend told that he is having good success with adsense pro ultimate and so I gave a try and since then I never looked back. its simply amazing!
