Hi, I have started a trial of Tom's BacklinkBooster.com and was wondering if anyone else has been using it - and most importantly has it has a positive effect on their SEO efforts? Basically as I understand things, it pings the page that your backlink is on and then posts it on some social media sites and builds more backlinks to your link, in theory giving it extra link juice. I often build backlinks by writing unique content for a few large/established/high PR article sites and then build loads of lower value links (profiles, links from spun content on less established article sites, bookmarks, etc.) to these articles to make them more valuable. This seems to work, but I am no SEO expert (although I have got some sites to the top of Google for long tail terms!), so I could be wrong about exactly what it is that's working (any advice on this would be much appreciated too! )Will BacklinkBooster (or any other tool for that matter) be a good substitute (or even complement) for what I am doing already? |

Automatic backlink generator will affect our SEO efforts. And it also may get banned from Google. My opinion please don't use black hat SEO.

The way that I am building backlinks to my sites isn't black hat - I am writing unique (not spun) articles that link directly to my site and posting them on article and web 2.0 sites (such as GoArticles, HubPages, etc.). This is not black hat at all as far as I'm aware. I am also trying to increase the value of these links (tier 1) by building tier 2 links to my tier 1 links - this kind of link building may be considered black hat, but none of these links go directly to my sites. I'm happy to have suggestions about this though... Also, if anyone has used BB.com successfully that would be helpful!

| This has nothing to do with black hat SEO. At all. Building back links to your back links is completely white hat. Also, this approch does not harm your money site in any way since thses additional links do not point to your site directly. In fact, you could have thousands of back links to... say... a social bookmark poining to your money site with this method and gain a lot of benefit from it.

Canīt recommend it to you ... itīs waste of time and money. I would spend my time on writing unique content (what you are already doing) and on effective link building strategies. |

I just signed up for this yesterday after researching BB.com, BE, BIE, and some others, so we'll see what happens. It looks pretty legit in what it does, but I guess I won't really know for sure whether it works well in getting my links indexed and boosted for at least a couple weeks. I'll report back with my results!

Well did someone enter for example 1000 unindexed links and checked how many of them were indexed after a month?

I will say this, though. Tom and Jeanne have always been very nice in their support responses. Though sometimes it may have taken them a few days to get back to me, they still indeed got back to me and were helpful. So, as cliche as it sounds, I'd say the best way is to test it for yourself and see how it works out for you.

Enrique, mine are the same. 10 sites, all marked 'completed' but no boosting has been done for any of them when I last looked which was yesterday (my day 5, I think). I am NOT IMPRESSED at all, even though as Chris Sweeney above points out, Tom is polite. Polite is appreciated but I want results. Chris, thanks for your response. Seems that your testing regime is about as rigourous as mine. Gary |

chukcha, thanks for sharing your (lack of) results. Oddly, I came to BB.com because a marketer I respect recommended it after using it for himself. So this is somewhat confusing. I am open to the possibility that BacklinkBooster.com will work but so far, NONE of the 10 sites I added there been boosted. Not a good start, even though Tom and Jeanne seem like nice people. Gary |

I tried in past and experience it with 3 of my site but didn't give me much result.. if you have use sean donnah's backlink booster script, you will notice that this website is doing same too. only problem that i can see is not give much result after panda update.. reason, most of those links are just link farm i would say.. |

| Google is strict against ANY type of activity trying to increase search engine position. There is no blackhat or whitehat - whitehat method is cleaner and not as spammy, blackhat has no regards for reputation or long-term business. but in essence, both are against TOS because the motive you have is to gain rankings (which is against their TOS) |

And to answer your question, avoid any SEO services. Only use tools but have your own strategy and system to build links. When Google decides to mass-ban sites they will usually detect a pattern. Avoid patterns and you won't be picked up.
