how to SOCIAL BOOKMARK?

Social Bookmarking is one of the most common techniques used nowadays to promote sites and get links.
I provided some steps for those who are not aware of it yet.

To start off, you of course have to sign up with these websites, get your e-mail address confirmed and you are ready to social bookmark.

What you need to do next is to add the website/web page in your social bookmarking account by clicking on these little icons if you can find on the website which you wish to bookmark.

If you don’t see icons on the website/web page which you want to bookmark, you still can bookmark by logging into the social bookmarking websites, adding the website’s URL/Title, Description and any comments manually.

If the website or web page is already bookmarked by another person then bookmarking it may not be an option, in which case you can Vote for it by clicking on the accessible options which would be available against each of such bookmarks.

I would also like to add that you should automate it, even if you cannot afford software that will create new accounts and bypass captchas you can use something like Onlywire's free version (you have to create the accounts the first time but then its all auto except for entering captchas, takes me 5 minutes to submit to 40+ social bookmarking sites). Don't spend too much time you don't have to!

Exceptional tips regarding submitting bookmarks so if there is already submitted your bookmark then i think comment on that link can be better option in any way.

How many times should an article or web 2.0 property be bookmarked on different sites? As in, say I have a a wordpress blog. I want to socially bookmark it. How many different social bookmarks should I use for that one wordpress blog? 20? 40? Since the bookmark isn't directed to my main site, but rather to my first layer backlink, does it matter?

There is onlywire, ping.fm and pixelpipe . Onlywire is the better of the 3 for straight social bookmarking with anchor text. The others have theirs uses too.

Google is more on advance in tracking this way of promoting your site and be careful before using automated software. It is better to submit your site manually, and you will spend only minutes of your time. SEO needs hardworking, effort, and patience in order to maintain your rankings.

Does anybody have any thoughts on building social bookmarking backlinks over a period of time, say 5-10 links per week, instead of slamming your site with 40 bookmarks in one day when using Onlywire?

I've been using the free version of IM Automator which spread the links over two weeks.

To everyone posting using onlywire, I have used it for a few weeks now and it does get your links up on many top sites. But the links are not to your sites and not getting you credit for the links. The links are redirect links from onlywire.

Every link you add is another link to onlywire, not to your site! It redirects to your site which is a big stop sign for most bots. The minute they hit the redirect, they stop.

Anybody out there know any differently. The software I use to run checks on links are not showing any credit for any of the onlywire links I have generated.

A fellow warrior recommended a service called socialadr to me an I think it's brilliant. It allows you to get automated bookmarks from other actual users. It takes a little longer to get bookmarks but it completely natural looking.

I doubt using automated SB Submission. why? simple.. i might get blocked by google.. plus it's just a waste of time using automated and yet you are not sure if it can give a pale of traffic.. I would rather spent my time creating Catchy Title and mouth watering description and post it on top 10 SB's..

I've been using onlywire for a week now and i think it is doing great! Whenever I click my username in SB sites such as digg, it will link into my website and not in onlywire. So I think there's no problem with this tool.
