Are .net domains worth developing? Does google give them any good placement over .com domains ever? If so how often?

Yes. Probably not. Meh. I have some .net's that do quite mediocre. Winning. |

I have a couple .net's that do very well. .com's still performing better at the moment for me, but I don't think its because of the domain extension.

I really think it has a lot to do with how you seo the website as well. I have had .net and .org beat out .com domains for several keywords before so it depends on how well you seo your websites for your chosen keywords. |

I've never noticed any significant disadvantage with a .net.

Hi, From my point of view .net domains is much better than .com For example i launched a site two days ago and Google has already indexed 750 pages. (Quotes and Sayings Organized by Authors, Topics & Words) .net domains is indexed quickly and rank highly in search results (I have a mesothelioma site, has existed for three months and already is on page 8) In principle, all domains are good if they are promoted and have quality content. Good luck! |

.net domains are not bad to use. Google give importance to .net domains as well. So, in any case when you get a keyword rich domain with .net extension, you must go for it.
