What is the best way to index a backlink??

Hi everyone,

I am new in this business and I currently own 2 websites. I have done article marketing and now I am running a campaign of building backlinks. I already have over 50 edu links and over 100 profile links for each of my websites.

The problem here is that when i am trying to check those backlinks I can not find them anywhere. Is like those links are not indexed although I am trying to index them using some methods.

So, I am wondering what is the best way to index a backlink and what are the most effective methods that you are using right now to index a link or a webpage? Also what is the best tool to check how many backlinks a website has?

I understand that a backlink is worth nothing if it is not indexed and that is why it is very important to index all those backlinks.

I am waiting your advices and tips...

Give some thought to creating a RSS feed out of the backlink urls and then submitting that RSS feed around the place. Also, build links to your links...if that makes sense.... all the very best, Allen

So, if you build an rss feed of 5000 links, is this not admission that you are up to something that Google may frown on? Couldn't Google detect this and relate it back to your website? I know if I could write a program to detect this, Google certainly can. How many people have 5000 accounts at forums that they use? I've tested some of these mass profile link building ideas. They may work on uncompetitive very long tail phrases, but they do absolutely nothing for any major keywords, or for the integrity of "your business". With all of that time involved, a person could write a single guide, with quality, and have it picked up by many webmasters and news sites of quality, in return giving backlinks that will last for years, instead of just months.

There are many options for getting your backlinks indexed.

1. Stay Signed In those Profile Forums by clicking on option of Remember ME. Most of the forums have a list of Online User (with Profile Link) on their HomePage, so once Google will crawl that homepage, chances of your profile getting indexed are higher as Google will notice your profile link on homepage of forum (Recommended by my friend)

2. Ping your links....Create RSS Feed and submit it to different RSS directories. You can create RSS of your all URLs from link2rss.com. (Used by me)

3. If you have any old free blogger based blog then place those links 5-10 in a single post and wait for 3-4 hours, it will indexed. (Used by me)

No, I knew what he was talking about..I did accidently say "site" instead of "link" which I changed now.

This isn't true. YES getting your LINKS indexed is great...but don't put TOOO much emphasis on it. You can rank your SITE all day long without getting your LINKS indexed, so long as google CRAWLS your LINKS and know they exists.

You can use services such as linklicious.me to do this. It pings your LINKS until google crawls it. It may or may not get indexed, but thats not the point. Your first goal should be to get your LINKS CRAWLED because THAT will boost your SITES SERPS...and THAT is the main goal, right?

apart from all the SEO activities i suggest you to write your own and fresh press release and submit it in most popular PR submission sites. it will help you more rather than other activities to be get indexed.

Submit them to high PR social bookmarking sites such as Stumbleupon, Reddit, Digg, Delicious etc. After that create an RSS feed and PING them by using pingomatic or ping device.

I am no SEO expert, but I do have tried my hand in SEO for a while and would like to add in a different point of view.

Profile links, in most cases are crap, try out all the pings and pang techniques suggested by other, but google will only index less than 10% of profile links. Even if some of your profile links get indexed they are of zero value in your SEO. If you think for a sec, you will also realize, that a forum profile ads no contextual value to anything. Google now-a-days is smart enough to understand that.

Now coming to your edu links, as I understand this will be some off-topic edu blog with few hundred spammy comments, yours being one of them. This will get indexed faster than profile links. But again they really add no value to your SEO.

I know this will sound harsh and rude, but forget this 150 links and try getting some actual good quality, on context links from the actual high PR page. They hold a few hundred times more value than the links you have. Even 5 -10 high quality links will out perform hundreds of spammy links. And on top of that they will be indexed in hours and contribute vastly to your rankings.

Not that I dont get tempted by this "100 link for few dollar" offers but I learned from my own practical experience that their value have also is insignificant as their price.

You are right about most profile links are crap, but if you do it right, the index rate can get as high as 80%, provided your profile stick rate is high too.

Too many links too quickly is the calling card for people artificially attempting to inflate their rankings.

your far better off creating some content thats useful and linking to your other pages from there.

In the long term I think google is starting to look at your 'AUTHOR RANK'.

The only people making backlinks like this are seo firms and marketers.

Social Indicators are becoming increasingly powerful... +1's Like's and shares.

So maybe your focus should be on making content that actually gets shared!

I think you should just let search engine find it on their own. The best one (Google and I don't want to start arguments here) are getting smarter everyday, and if all of the sudden they got pings of all your backlinks, it could've raised the spam flag. Just wait for a few days, in my experience it will be enough for it to find your backlinks. Also it helps if you are backlinking your site to other sites that got crawled often.

Never used any service and everything working just fine. The best way to get indexed is to be found naturally by Google. There is no need to spent time on pinging. Don't worry, if you are doing everything by rules, your blog will be indexed and ranked.

diversify your portfolio of backlinks, from your post you are focusing only on 2 types

1. article marketing
2. social bookmarking
3. blog commentings
4. forum profile (needs to be indexed)

One of the best free tools is SocialMonkee if your main concern is just to get webpages or backlinks indexed quickly. Even better the service is free.

I think it is a good idea to check out the comment by "Tune" above, in his post he features a link to a backlinks indexing comparison. The comparison clearly shows that backlinksindexer is the best if the group by far.

Of course, you can go to the small effort of making RSS feeds, and that is an awesome way to do things for free. However, there is a time factor and what I love about backlinksindexer is you just paste in the URL's and hit enter and that's it. Even more to the case is that once they have processed your URL's for indexing they will start the list over again, which is great for keeping things indexed.

How many URL's total that they will process each day depends on the package you use. I personally wouldn't use anything thing else, just because of how easy it is, and their excellent indexing rate, and the fact that if you don't have any new URL's to process for a while, then they will redo the old ones. Bingo

For those backlinks to be indexed you need to ensure that the links are do-follow, so you could see other links that are on those edu and profile sites, and see if you can find them on Google before you submit yours

I dont see anyone asking so I have to ask. What tool are you using to check your backlinks. If you are relying on a tool, do you know that all tools do not give you the full picture. So your links could be indexed but just not reported on your tool.

the surest way is to type the url into google and search for it. usually if your link is indexed it will show up as the top result.

People are getting confused between indexing WEBSITES and indexing LINKS.

The OP is talking about getting BACKLINKS to his site indexed, not getting his site itself indexed.

Yeah if you only have 1 - 10 backlinks needs to get indexed. What about if you have 1000 links to get indexed? Are you going to digg or make hubpages to all of them?

Backlinks in places that effectively need you to take action, yourself, just to get Google to index them at all, are not worth having. For me, anyway. With the effort that I'd put into getting Google to index them, I could be doing something for my business that earns money, instead.
