I would imagine it was a get rich quick scheme. Or something to that effect. Paul |

Google hates what people hate--pop ups. It's not a good user experience and yours is just harvesting emails. Having TOS is not trying to rule the world and ruin your business. I don't know why people take it so personally. It's their business. They can run it the way they want to. Has nothing to do with anything else. You can either use it or not. Your choice. They do allow popups. But not one that interferes with surfing in and out. I suspect that even if you had one of those, they would scrutinze it and your site more thoroughly. They don't like pop ups because it kills the user experience. I know that makes IMers upset because somehow, somewhere, these pop ups are regarded as the best thing since sliced bread. Paul |

The pop-ups aren't even the main problem with the site (but they are a problem, espeically when it is to grab their personal details). Google clamped down on single page lead generation sites quite some time ago. Read up on these and ask yourself if your site is 'quality'. Landing page and site quality guidelines - AdWords Help Can users easily find what your ad promises? Your provide no info at all. Does it link to a page on your site that provides the most useful information about the product or service in your ad? No. As above, it provides no info at all. Where are your features, FAQs, support details, contact details? What does your business actually offer? Do they need to provide their personal info or is it a nice to have? Those are all talked about on their Landing Page quality guidelines. You need to get familiar with them or you will have a frustrating time with Adwords. |

Troy is correct - adwords will accept "landing pages" when they are built to specs that are acceptable to them - the old days of just slapping a quick generic landing page are long gone

I briefly looked at some of the reasons why landing pages are suspended. Mine might be seen as a "get rich quick" scheme ... though it isn't. I looked at some of the sites advertising with the same keywords I'd be using ... and those landing pages had the same sales content as mine ... and some of them were even more "persuasive" than mine. ![]() No ridiculous claims have been made. The website is actually very short in length. Anyway ... I'll remove the popup first and see if that changes anything. |

The following has been copied from:adwords.google.com/support/aw/bin/static.py?hl=en&topic=30210&guide=28439&page=guide .cs&answer=190440 Going back to what I said about gustapo-like ... read below. These are nothing more than opinions ... and I feel that Google is controlling the internet based on their interpretation of what's right. I wonder if the Government stepped in on this stuff? I bet they did! Ridiculous! ![]() U.S. citizens should be mad about this ... this is a significant loss of freedom. Snail-mail direct marketers aren't subjected to this kind of gustapo-like control. ![]() Examples of prohibited websites:
