Default The Goldmine?

So I found a couple of keywords that get something like >6000 exact searches a month globally according to GKT. But the local searches for the US is only a fraction of the exact monthly global searches, with <1000 searches, while the UK has a majority of the searches. I don't know but this kind of raised a red flag in my mind because most of the times the US has the most amount of searches for any keyword that's English.

Also another thing that worries me is that the keywords are long. About 4-6 words. My worry is that people don't actually search for these long keywords THAT much per month. The competition is also beatable, with a couple PR N/A and PR0 on the first page. You would think that someone would have already of found the keyword since I found it using GKT and looking at the related searches.

Has anyone had experience with a keyword that seemed too good to be true, and turned out to be just that? Also to all the jokesters out there, no I will not share my keywords.

EDIT: If the homepage has a high page rank (PR5 - PR7) but the page that ranked for the keyword is n/a - PR1 will the keyword be hard to rank for?
