How to Boost my profit in Adsense? Plz comments.! Thx..!!

Hi.. i recently just opened a blog and i wanted to boost my profit in adsense.. i know that there is alot of pro here in internet marketing and i believe that members here have very good idea on how to run it..! i asking for help..

Coincidentally, that is the topic of my latest blog post. But since I think it is inappropriate to put the link here, so I will just re-write some highlights.

First of all, your niche should be hot in the search engines. Then, make your posts rich with targeted keywords. However, be sure that they can be understood by humans and contain useful information.

Moreover, your blog should be of high traffic from search engines to earn decently from Adsense. I suppose a minimum of 2k daily is decent enough. An effective way of getting your blog on top of Google is to gain quality backlinks.

Don't rely on social traffic because they are not ad clickers. They are just readers and followers. If someone is looking for something, he will Google it, right? But then, you can use them to increase your backlink.

Lastly, be ready to have an ugly blog. This means the ads should be visible enough even though they can annoy readers, especially if they are on top of each post.

Making money from Adsense can be hard or easy, it depends on how you are willing to do everything you can. From my experience, it's hard to combine Adsense with other money making strategies.

Additional info: Google hates blogs that are made for Adsense only, so be conscious about your blog content.

This couldn't be more true. I used to think pretty got results for AdSense, but my uglier sites get way better clicks. The pretty sites use a nice theme and have AdSense laid out nicely in blocks. The ugly sites have the ads mixed in the content and often on top of it. This works so much better. Forget pretty...ugly is the new way to make money!

Thanks for agreeing with me. Pretty girls are only the ones who are making good money...lol!

Kidding aside, I think this is one that that confuses many. Adsense and affiliate marketing are difficult to combine in one blog. I also realized that Adsense does not work well with blogs who are selling ad space. They tend to divert the attention of the visitors.

I think it is very much depend on the content of your blog. People read your blog for many reasons. If your blog hit their needs, they will come back and read and read again. The chances of they click on Adsense will be higher. If someone just visit the blog for a few seconds, then hardly your Adsense will be effective.

No offense, but I don't see a reason why returning visitors will click ads considering that the blog posts already hit their need.

As a returning visitor of a blog, do you click ads? I don't think so, unless you do it as a reward for a good post. And if a returning visitor will do that frequently, chances are the account of that blogger will be deleted. This is because the big G will think that the clicks are fraud. I suppose you only come back to a blog because you are attracted to the posts and not on the ads, right?

On the other hand, if someone visit a blog for a few seconds because he transferred to an ad....then we earn. So how can it be ineffective?

And yes, it depends a lot on the content. If you make it very attractive and give everything that your readers need, then you are not giving him any reason to click your ad.

Another good characteristic of an Adsense blog besides having an ugly blog is that the content may look boring. But this was made intentionally for first time visitors, not for the returning visitors.

Imagine this scene - you are searching the Net looking for the best cook book, so you will type at Google "the best cook book". Then, you will open top blog/site nearest to your eyes that has the keywords the best cook book, right?.

If that site is an Adsense blog and not really an online cook book, then the Adsense that will appear are tons of the best cook books around. Now, will you leave the blog immediately and find a real online cook book or will you click any/all of the ads? I suppose you will do the latter.

Do you care about the blogger, how his blog looks like, and how he makes his content? Of course not, this is because you got what you want - the best cook book, and you found it on one of his ads.

This scene is happening more than hundred thousand times simultaneously around the world. Now, let's imagine how much Adsense bloggers earned during the last US election or the Pacquiao-dela Hoya fight.

There are many scenarios could happen when people visit a blog. What you have mentioned are some of them.

People also could just return to their search page when they found your blog content is not what they want. The time is so short that they may not have time to look at Adsense. Our attention is on the center of the page and this is usually the content page.

Usually when we read through the page, then there is a better chance that we notice the Ads. Also, people will think that content in the blog is more reliable than in the Ads. They will pay more attention to the content first.
Popular blog tend to draw a lot of returning visitors after it has built enough credentials. This will ensure more reliable traffic and same time the Adsense results.

In order for people to put our link on their site, I think the key issue is to build a relationship, let people know you better and build up the friendship. Secondly, the relevancy of the content.
The traffic also is an issue, both site shouldn't have too big difference in traffic volume would be easier...

I usually initiate the link to start a good relationship. I choose a good post from his blog, which is relevant to my latest post.

However, it is better if we study the other blog first. Make sure that the relationship we building is two-way and not your advantage alone.

You can check on your Adsense account, but I don't recommend to see it every now and then. If you do and found zero clicks, you will be dismayed. If you found it doing fine, you might be too excited.

Just focus on link bulding, avoid social visitors, and give your visitors good reasons to click your ads. And this is not being achieved overnight.

Perfectly agree, when we first started up an adsense, we tend to check the results every now and then. We should not waste too much time on this. It is better to check the Statistic (eg using Google Analytics) to analyse your target group visitors, from which country and the pattern of their visits to our blogs.

Hi Eric

The problem for low CTR is the ad block position: Try to put Large Rectangle Ad (336 x 280) just below the topic of the post. Then after few days check whether the ad match with your content and topic (relevant). Nobody will interested to click on irrelevant ad. Just my opinion.

If you want consistent traffic that will help to earn money from Adsense, focus on search engines traffic and not social traffic. Researchers are the real ad clickers, and not readers/followers.

I just ditched my pretty sites and made them look ugly and sure enough my CTR has increased!

Nope - be careful about where you promote pages that have adsense or you'll quickly be banned by google. Putting them on a traffic exchange site or even having a link to them from a page in a traffic exchange can cause you to lose your adsense account.

Read the the terms of use for adsense carefully - they are enforced.

I would suggest have good quality content in your blog. Thats the first thing you need. Use CC wordpress plugin and that will get quality content to your blog in minutes. I use it on all my blogs. If you need help, let me know.

traffic exchange is not good for the blog, you will get traffic with low quality and they will not read your blog especially click your ads

If you want profit from Adsense - you need traffic.

It is as simple as this

You could have a one page blog with a little bit of content on it and some ads and then spend 100% of you time driving traffic and you will make money.

The key to success is traffic. Look for all the ideas to generate traffic and start working very hard at building traffic and you will then see results.
