Is random links on wordpress a good idea ? Seo navigation wordpress help ?

Is it a good idea to use a wordpress plugin that lists 10 or 15 random posts on each page ? Near the bottom?

I thought it may be a good idea for seo purposes to keep the content changing ( the site is quite static otherwise as its a business site and comments are turned off)

But i was wondering if it may be a negative ?

I have noticed several sites have the main pages listed underneath the description on a google search, but this is not showing for my site.
Does anyone know how to make this happen ?
