Hi guys... I'd like some feedback on a keyword I'm investigating. It's a high end amazon product. Both keywords I've found are buying keywords, "keywordforsale" URL 1) no EMD available, has 2900 exact monthly searches. best url I can come up with is "bestkeywordforsale.com" Competition is not too bad, there are people targeting the main keyword. URL 2) EMD .org and .net available. 1600 exact monthly searches. Very low competition, all green in market samurai, shouldn't be too hard to get to page 1. So, url or url 2? |

It's like saying, If you take the first prize you have a 20% chance of getting $5000, If you take the second prize, you have a 95% chance of getting $2500. Which one would you choose?

I am trying out a domain name with "best" in front of it. It is brand new so I don't have any data to use. I would get them both, but focus in on the .net at first since it is a EMD. In my experience I have had just as much luck with .net as .com when it is EMD. Good luck on your venture.

I'll say going for URL 2. Like what InTheMaking says.. If you take the first prize you have a 20% chance of getting $5000, If you take the second prize, you have a 95% chance of getting $2500. |

I think you should try org. It is better than .net.

Doen't matter if it $8 or $5 per domain. Get both. Link from .net to .org so there you have one very related link. That's what I 'd do.

| Are you only posting to get more links from your sig? If you know what to do then do it. You are asking wehter you should get one or the other when they are $5 each. Don't you think you will at least break even if you buy both?

If it is a hit and run campaign then I would personally get the EMD making cash and then use those funds to buy the other domain. If money isn't an issue then grab both.

| Regardless, owning more of the domains will prevent competitors from taking them as well as give you the ability to have more power in the top 10. Satellite sites are a pretty common technique.

I'd rather buy 1 or the other, and put all my resources into it. If you've nothing constructive to add, don't bother replying.

2 of my highest earning sites are .org's. My .net domains have always disappointed. .com's are the best of course. Everything else is a waste of time. |

I think it is better to having .net in comparison to .org.

Ok, this is weird, both the .net and .org are gone. I used godaddy to search for them yesterday, and am 100% sure that I entered the correct keyword.. I pasted from keyword tool like I always do. I thought it could be something underhanded, so I checked the .net and .org on whois.net... they were registered in april of this year... weird. Back to the drawing board I guess. |
