Is this penalty ?

Hello

I had used link pyramid for my forum 2 months ago. The SERP's increased tremendously after that.Till last month , Google was indexing around 15k pages daily and I was getting around 5k UV per day.

But after may end , "indexing rate" decreased tremendously , now it is 15-20 per day and so did the traffic

When I search for my site without "Site" and ".org" in google , my site url is the 1st result.

But I still rank 29th , 12th and 6th for few very high competiting keyword.

Is this because of Panda Update ?

Should I try using Link Pyramid again ?

Note : My site is a active iPB "forum".

Earlier the indexing rate was too low , then it picked up , so old thread links were getting indexed.

Also, iPB generates "who posted in this thread" pages , which were also indexed.So, Pages indexed = no of threads * 2.
