Is It Better To Link To The Domain Or Individual Posts? Thanks In Advance!

Hello everyone, I have started my first niche site about 1 month ago and I have done some basic backlinking for it.

I have sent 4 open backlink wheels (5 web 2.0 sites) to 4 separate posts. One backlink wheel for each of the 4 posts.

The backlinks have helped the site go from position 43 to position 9 for the term "casual dress shoes".

I am motivated from these results, I am just curious: Should I send backlinks/open backlink wheels to the main URL of the site Casual Dress Shoes News-Your Casual Dress Shoes Resource or to some of the other ~30 posts that I have on the site? Or a combination of both?

I have seen some great results with sending open backlink wheels to the individual posts so far, I just want to keep climbing the ranks until I reach position 3 or 4 before taking a break.PS. The domain is about 5-6 weeks old.

As with all things related to back links variety is always the best. So you definitely want to boost all pages of your site including your main page. After all when people hit your main page they might also navigate towards inner pages.

Then I would just give extra focus on the ones that are performing the best. But definitely spread out the link love inner pages and the main URL.

use both of them but deep links also benefit to the main url too.
