How to add sitemap to my site?

Title says it all. Where can i add a sitemap to my site? Can someone provide me a link or something please? And does sitemap still works?

If you use Wordpress, I would suggest the Google XML Sitemaps plugin.

If not, you can just use the following website to create a sitemap for you:

Google has a tool I think its called Sitemap Generator. Do a search for that it will output a sitemap.xml file, then submit that. Certain platforms and hosts do this automatically for you also BTW.

Since everyone already answered your first two questions, I'll just focus on the third

Sitemaps DO still work. Search engines still crawl sites of course, and sitemaps make them easier to navigate. The result is faster, more thorough indexation of the pages on your site.

It takes about 2 secs to set one up if you have WP site, no reason not to have one really.

You can check the XML sitemaps tutorial list in this XML sitemaps guide. It explains how to create, upload, submit and ping your website XML sitemap.

If you are using wordpress, i recommend searching for "simple sitemap". It is not an xml sitemap and is quite easy to set up

OP, keep in mind that spiders follow LINKS. Not just xml sitemaps. Use the HTML version AND the xml sitemap that the sitemap generator offers. Ping both. You'll see great benefits. I promise.

1- First you need to pick one of Free sitemap generators Online. I personally prefer to use XML-Sitemaps.com, but you may find others useful as well.
2- Next follow the instructions in one of the Free sitemap generatorsto generate a HTML sitemap for your blog/website.
3- Then log in to your blog/website’s dashboard and create a newpage for it.
4- Every time when you create a new post you’ll need to update your sitemap. I just simply add my new post to my existing sitemap.
