Yes! I first noticed a smallish decline in traffic in May after April being my best month ever. Then from June 7th I noticed a huge drop. And now today I noticed the main keyword for one of my sites which has been on page 1 for ages has dropped nowhere to be seen! Not in the top 100 results! On top of that a few of my pages dropped too. No idea whats happening but I think its just temporary until Google sort their stuff out. Lets hope so. Otherwise everything I thought I knew about SEO, just went down the toilet. |

Me too. It's starting to get amusing. I've acutally stopped caring about it since there doesn't seem to be anything I can do about anyway. One of my largest sites returned from the dead in the last update, only to be dropped again in this one. I'm guessing it will return eventually.

| Google is not playing, they are running a business to make them huge profits. You're simply riding their coat tails, not a good business model. They owe you/me nothing! |

I had a dip in February from Panda on my Hubpages Google Analytics profile and then another dip on approximately April 10th. There's the possibility of a small dip on May 30th, but it's hard to tell at this point. If it is, it's less than 5%. The other two dips were 30% for Panda and then another (multiplicative) 30% for the April 10th one. None of my other content has been affected by Google updates to any considerable degree.

| I wasnt suggesting for one moment that google owed me anything, I was merely asking if anyone else had noticed a difference in rankings thats all. Perhaps you can enlighten us on how to run 'a good business model'?

A few of mine have seen a significant jump this past week, but I'm waiting for reality to slap me in the face again soon.

I was on page 2 for voip home phone services, then I went to page 5 like during the last week. I thought it was because I had bought some links on fiverr, but I have no idea why my site dropped that low. I was really trying to get on page 1, but now I have more work to do . . .

I’ve been reading lots of reports lately about people experiencing massive, unexplained drops or increases in their rankings. Most people seem to be seeing a drop more than an increase though which is concerning. All my sites are holding their positions but I have noticed one of my competitors who was #1 in Google has now dropped several pages for all his main keywords. I have now taken the #1 spot in Google but I have no idea why his site has dropped & I have taken his position. His site has almost 600 back links, most of which are good quality were my site only has around 80. I can’t see anything wrong with his on page SEO ether, his site has 100% unique content, is well structured & has more than double the pages I have. I also created a high quality page on one of my sites which ranked on page 2 in Google for a few days then bang! The page is now sitting on the third last page, this has never happened to me before & no this is not the typical Google dance. Another thing I’ve noticed, which I’ve heard some other people mention is that their sites are not responding to back linking. I created 17 contextual back links from PR4+ pages to one of my sites a couple of weeks ago & I’ve not seen any movement, not even 1 position. Who knows what’s causing it, we just need to wait for the dust to settle & see where things are sitting. |

I've seem way too many people wiped out because they only had one traffic source. Whether it be Google Adwords, Adsense, Organic SEO on Google, etc... doesn't make a difference. You need to diversify your traffic to your money site. I know of a top IM who got banned from Google, then found another way to get traffic and his income went up tenfold. Getting Google slapped was the best thing that ever happened to him. There are so many more tactics to get consistent, measurable traffic, like Banner Ads. Treat Google as just another traffic source, there are much better alternatives.

all my niche sites have hit page 1, after months of being nowhere. completely inexplicable. for this reason, i'm not going to open any more niche sites as the ranking is just too unstable.

So what about if you have a content site where you just rely on seo traffic to get click on ads...and cant sell the specific products yourself. (I'm talking products that are in the lowish price range)

After Panda update Google is penalizing websites using duplicate content. Make sure that your website doesn't contain any duplicate content. Write original content and build quality back links to get your rankings back.

Yep - one of my websites took a gigantic drop today. All top ranking keywords are gone. I'm not too worried though, this has happened in the past and my site has sky rocketed to the top in no time. I'm just gonna keep trucking and continue building links and content and I'm sure it'll be back in 30 days max. Just gotta wait it out and keep moving on. |

Luckily, none of my client sites have dipped...but a couple of my Internet Marketing sites have dipped pretty bad. One was #2 for a long time, and then just jumped to 54 last week. I didn't do anything to it and it has zero shadyness to it. I'm sure I can get it back, but it was a little interesting.

Maybe Google tweaked some of its algo and checking out the results. Just wait for a week or more for the rankings to stabilize.
