Does adding links on your personal facebook work as backlinks to your site? And if people 'like' the link, does it help with ranking higher? Can you submit a unique article to several blogs without getting a penalty? Example post on blog1, blog2, blog3. |

Ok so adding links to my facebook is useless then right? I have multiple blogs in the related niches, so it's ok to post my stuff there, and then say EZA right? |

Hi Emoney, Quote:
Google page rankings? It depends. If some of those people place your backlink on their own dofollow websites: It could... First Answer: Yes. If you own full exclusive rights to the content or have the permission of the content owner to publish the content on other places... Second Answer: No. If the terms and policies of the blog say authors can't syndicate their content that's already published on their site and/or elsewhere, even if they own full exclusive rights to the content... Penalty from whom: Google? No substantial results of my tests point me to believe that Google "penalizes" the sites of people who own full exclusive rights to their content and syndicate this content on other contextually relevant offline and online places, so they could get more interested eyeballs. My results point out that publishing my unique content on my website and getting it indexed before syndicating it on other places with contextually relevant content and active target viewers with needs and problems similar to the needs and problems of my own target audience are excellent ways to get the bottomline results I need: More net profits from my business... | |

1) Facebook links are not going to help your rankings a lot, unless the linked content is viral and may spark off a series of reposts. 2) Sure you may submit your article to any number of blogs. But chances are that after a while only one post will remain in primary, while the other will get to supplemental results. For better results I'd recommend to use at least different titles and descriptions for each article. |

I don't think Facebook adds to your backlinks, but it's a good source of traffic so it's still important to include it in your internet marketing efforts.
