Hello Fellow Warriors, I just finished setting up a one page website (with script on it) where people can do bulk domain check with single click. Initially i plan to use the script for my personal use but later decided to share it with public. However, i'm clueless now to perform SEO or optimize it for a good ranking in first page of Google. I have experience doing SEO before and managed to get good result, but it is for website/blog with numbers or article pages. I'm targeting for main keyword which is same as per its domain (however i only managed to get a domain with '-' in between keywords). I suppose this domain will give some advantage for SEO and i have set some keywords in meta data of webpage (title, description and keywords). Apart from that, i have no idea what else i can do to get good ranking on Google and hence good organic traffic to my site. Appreciate if any warriors here can contribute some idea. In case you would like to see the website, it is here: Domain Checker | Check Domain Name Thanks in advance. |

mystarter, A few strings of content with your target keywords won't hurt user experience and contribute to better rankings. And looooots of link-building. Sincerely, I doubt that in the short run you'll be able to get good rankings for "domain checker" it's very competitive. |

Meta title helps ranking meta description displays in results (if anyone sees them) meta keywords are ignored by google, might be referenced by 2nd tier search and your seo competitors. My guess you would really have to flesh out the site with content regularly expanded, like a blog. Some innovative scripting that creates word variations, using suffix/prefix word lists, to speed the name finding process would improve the attraction. There must be some affiliate connection you can make with registrars through a Get It button. |

Hi Mystarter, Hmmm... I for one will convert that tool into a Wordpress plugin... I'd then upload it to popular Wordpress plugin repositories, offer it free, of course with a link pointing to the tool in my server, anchored by "Domain Checker" text header, once it has been installed, activated and displayed on the Wordpress site's homepage sidebar... I'd then include a message on the site in my server, telling people they can freely download and easily install the Wordpress plugin... I'd then advertise it as a free beneficial Wordpress plugin on the marketplaces of some of the most popular Web forums about Internet marketing, website development, SEO, social media marketing, search marketing and other relevant topics... I'd use "Domain Checker" - (description here about benefits offered by the tool) in my sig on those Web forums, with Domain Checker anchoring the backlink... I'll join Facebook groups and other online social networks about relevant topics, and tell others about the Wordpress plugin and its benefits... I'll write content on the website about domain name SEO techniques and strategies to easily choose the right domain name in an instant... I'll syndicate those content pages on contextually relevant, heavily trafficked websites... I'll talk to mailing list owners in the MMO niche and ask them to announce the free Wordpress plugin to their mailing list subscribers and also syndicate my content pages on those newsletters so their subscribers can maximize the benefits provided by the plugin... |

Dude. Just add articles to it in your sub-directories and backlink the heck out of it. Google don't like them one-pages.

Just do normal SEO.The strategies are same for a single page website like multiple pages.I dont think It would take too much time to rank well in Google.

Very impressed with good feedback here. Really appreciate it. I found that still cannot move away from basic things like getting lot of backlinks and contents with targeted keyword...even with this kind of one page website. Quite interested with suggestion from Marx Vergel. I'll look into plugin part if it's really helps. Is there any of you having real experience in optimizing this kind of one page website? Kindly share what are the results you have along the line...please. Thanks for all. |
