Default Social Bookmarking Accounts

Is it wise to use different social bookmarking accounts and article marketing accounts for posting backlinks to different sites? I have about 5 sites and have been using a signle account on each site to bookmark for all 5 of them. Should I create a new account for each one?

Yes you should use different accounts for each site. Or at least use different pen names for article directories.

You don't want to put all of your Eggs (Websites) into one Basket (Account)

Having everything under one roof makes it easier for someone to find all your Websites in your network.

Cheers.

Yep - Diversify without a doubt.

I use Ping.fm, and outsource the creation of these accounts for Ping.fm so that I get one post for each blog post.

Then I'll use tools, and manual submissions to then bookmark them/submit them again. That helps raise them in the rankings on the site, and thus passes additional linkjuice/value to the site which in turn helps index and rank the posts higher than when I don't.

Use either ping.fm or onlywire.com (don't do the paid option, the free one just pops up captchas and it takes under 3 minutes to enter them all) to automate it. Then you only have to enter captchas, it will save you a TON of time

Yes and no. Some of it depends on how you are using the account(s). If you are bookmarking a lot of other sites and pages that have nothing to do with your business or your sites and the bookmarks for your sites represent only, say, 3-4% of the bookmarks, I'd say that's fine -- or at least I have had good results with that approach.

If, on the other hand, you are using the accounts solely or almost solely to bookmark your own sites and pages, then I'd be inclined to use several different accounts for each site as well as consider starting to mix things up (with other types of bookmarks unrelated to your sites) as much as you can. Using the exact same account even for a single website, if virtually all your bookmarks point to that site, or using the exact same account for several websites that are all your sites, is just not a practice I would recommend -- though this advice is not based on my experience but from sources of information I've come to trust.

I agree 100%. Before propeller died I would submit a ton of random stuff and was one of the top 5 members, it gets you many follwers than blindly vote your things. Then when it comes to submitting your money page you can hit page 1 because you have an army that votes it whether it interests them or not; that's how the big boys in social bookmarking do it.

However the time invested is not worth it IMO there are many other ways to get as much traffic with less daily work.

Agreed. It can be a lot of work. Of course, there are ways to automate pretty much all of it, but they don't come cheap!

Just to be sure, I think it's better to use different accounts for each sites. Because you will have the capability to set up different profiles if you have different accounts.

I usually use social bookmarking sites to advertise my services through content, and I'm using only one account per site. This method will make your backlinks natural to search engine.

So for each own-site bookmark you are advising doing 30 other site bookmarks. That is a lot of work.

Who else uses this 3-4% rule ?

Diversity is key, you don't want to leave any footprints that Google will find. So yes create new accounts for every site. Even have 3-4 accounts per site so that when you realease a new page it's not always the same account submitting the new post
