Default How to find blogs to comment on?

Hey guys. Sorry for the noob question.

I know one of the ways to get good backlinks is through blog comments.

The problem is how do I find blogs that are related to my niche to comment on?

Is there a software for this?

Thanks in advance

Not just blogs, but you can type into Google:

"www.competitor.com" (with the quotes) and you'll see where your competitor is placing their links.

Here's a trick I learned on how to do this, and its probably the best way as it's super effective and free:

You google the niche keyword, and next to it, you put "leave a comment". Make sure to add the quotation marks for the phrase "leave a comment". For example, if you're niche was "Weight Loss", you're google search should look like this:

weight loss "leave a comment"

Do this, and you will get a bunch of blogs you can comment on and get backlinks from. Thousands.

Scrapebox

Don't waste your time with any other method. I'm not actually saying SPAM blogs with this, but Scrapebox is an amazing tool to reduce research time and find amazing blogs related to your niche.

With it you'll be able to find blogs based on PR, niche, alexa, last cache date and about a million other things.

I use scapebox, its a great and cheap software. With scrapebox you can scrape thousands of blogs to comment on in minutes! Once you have the urls you can filter the blogs by pagerank, backlinks, and find the do-follow blogs. Once you have a good list you can easily automaticaly comment on all the blogs at super speeds.

Scrapebox is a great investment of only $57.00 with the coupon code.

Yes. That's an example of a simple 'footprint' search. Of course they can be much more specific and targeted. For instance, the following:

internet marketing "Powered by WordPress" "post a comment" site:.com -"comments closed"

will find WP internet marketing blogs on .com domains where comments are NOT closed. Powerful stuff indeed, but do you really want to do this all manually?

A great way to find blogs in your niche is through Followerwonk.Com - it will find most popular twitter accounts related to your keywords. Some of them would be created to support powerful blogs for you to comment, other will let you dig for nice blogs through tweets.

Another option is to search blogs you have already discovered for friends' section or some mention of other niche blogs (e.g. "best blogs in [niche]").

leannrimes (above) has given all possible variations of the search strings which you can use to find blogs in any niche. Just put your keywords where it says "add your keyword" and you will find all the blogs which allow commenting and do not require a log-in to comment.

There is two option to find quality Blogs
1.Use some blog directory to find the quality blogs related to your niche.
2.Use the following search queries

I spend a vast amount of my time in Market Samurai since it allows me to do blog commenting, pingbacks, keyword research, and blog posts all within a single interface.

The promotions module allows you to search for blogs, forums, Yahoo Answer questions, and other locations for commenting. You can sort by PR, determine if they are no-follow or not, and never leave the one interface. It's not perfect, but it is effective.

I find highly targeted blogs when commenting on one - e.g. i write about internet marketing and social media so one of my blogs is problogger.net (you can find one at least when you just google) and then their are tons of comments on every blog. usually people leave a link to their site. i go there and see which blog fits to my niche and is active (means updated daily)
i think that is effective but lots of manual work

Wish you a wonderful day!

Scrapebox ALL the way. I just invested $57 into it and it was the best investment I made... it does way too much for just $57. With Google's Panda update, a lot of the other softwares on the market have become obsolete, so if you learn to use Scrapebox properly, you'll be surprised!

Footprint searching really does work! A good site that I came across is invesp.com/blog-rank but the best is targeted footprint search

If you use Google (blog search) 90 percent that comes up there will be no-follow blogs or blogs with pages with very low PR. This will be a waste of time unless you don't have a software that can pick out 'dofollow' pages from nofollow. If I search for a special niche, this is one of the methods I use but it gives low ROI.

Just remember that the competition in 99 percent will comment on no-follow blogs, so you still have to sort them out from your list, 99 percent=time consuming.

Only DoFollow links from authorative websites with less "external links" on the page and which are in some way relevant to your topic are the best ones.

Let me sum up some facts

1) A lot of bloggers are just "greedy". They don't share love..

2) The ones that share love, have been spammed by thousands of people. Your link is just one of the 1000 and is worth nothing!

3) A lot of blogs are DoFollow, but they will approve or disapprove your link first. Spamming the "Name" field with keywords will be removed in most cases. Or if you have bad luck, will not be posted (because your comment has nothing to do with the blog post you did not read)

Conclusion: I would prefer to invest my time in some other backlink methods that are great.

Is there a software for this?

Thanks in advance

There is no guaranteed way of finding someone's blog, but you can. With the help of Google blog search and by using operators you can search blogs. You can also use 'dropmylink' tool for blog search.
