Hello, I searched for a while and didn't find any useful solution for this. All i need to do is to add No-Index to certain categories in my wordpress blog. Will it be accomplished by robots.txt? Or is there a plugin for that. If so please provide me the code. I have used all-in-one seo plugin, but it just lets you add no-index to all the category archives. |

With the Robots Meta plugin you can set each post individually to be noindex if you choose. Not sure if you can set it to no index specific categories though... as far as I know you can only tell it to noindex all categories. But, at least whenever you make a post in the category you don't want indexed, you can just set that particular post to noindex.

Thanks for the reply, i installed the plugin, sure it had a lot of options, but there were no options to add no-index to specific category pages. I was also going through some blog posts, where i read that this could be accomplished by using robots.txt Say if i have a category 'automobiles' Then adding a line Quote:
This could be done for tag pages as well it seems Quote:
