Hi everyone, I operate a facebook banners site (myfbbanners.com), and currently make $150-$200 a day in revenue. Looking at the AdSense reports for this month, I feel like our CTR is kind of low (0.72%). So my question to the resident AdSense geniuses, what can I do to increase my CTR? Better placement of ads? Thanks in advance for the feedback! |

I'm would guess from the niche your site is in that the type of visitors aren't commercial intent kind of traffic so to be honest I would never expect fantastic CTR in this kind of niche but I'm sure you can budge it up a little from 0.72% Have you experimented much with your ad layout? I see three image banners at the moment. Conventional wisdom suggests that a text-ad only medium rectangle yields better click through. I think the quickest way for you to quickly test it would be to replace the right hand side skyscraper with a text only medium rectangle, tweak the text colour from 'adsense blue' to 'facebook blue' to blend with your site better ![]() Also less is sometimes more - you have 3 ad's at the moment but a couple of the banners are showing non-relevant ads for me (I'm in the UK). By reducing your ad units you increase the odds of showing just relevant ads and generally higher CPC as well. |

If you make 150-$200 a day in revenue with 0.72% CTR I am guessing your revenue IS NOT from adsense, so my suggestion is get rid of it. It is just distracting people from spending money on your site

Place your ads at top of your content and try to choose Mobile leaderboard 468 x 60 and Banner 728 x 90 size banner at your site. Hope it will work. |
