Any idea how to make money with this site ...

Hi Warriors!

I have this articles directory (SUBMIT ARTICLES, articles, free articles, find articles) and i wandering how make money with him.

Do you think if i put a fee for submission will pay somebody or should i try other method?

The site is ranking on first page (#4) for Europe and US for this keyword - submit articles.

For the moment don't have PR because is made in September 2010 and PR is updated until June 2010 but I'm sure the next update will get a decent PR.

That's pretty amazing. You're #5 for me in the US.

I have a large list of "Article Friendly" directories I've started submitting to. Some are in the PR3 & PR4 range. Some do ask for a one time fee to submit articles--usually only a couple dollars. They're doing it to help control the spam content. I think they mean spun articles they're being bombarded with by AMR.

I think most article directories will become paid directories.

I probably wouldn't pay until there's pagerank. Still, #5 out of 412,000,000 results looks pretty good (still trying to figure out how you did it)!

With Adsense is dangerous because of DCMA.

I develop only custom scripts and i don't rush to get 1XXXXXXXX back links over night. In SEO you must understand that you can not go over old sites over night.

So what you say is to wait until i get the PR and after to ask for a one time fee?

Your article directory design looks very good. I think you should try to experiment with adsense as you have some good locations to place ad units on your article page and see how it works out. We are using adsense very successfully on our article directory but we do concentrate on one niche only so it might be different for general article directory but it is best to try out yourself and see how well it would work.


If you decide to go for paid submission route then yes, it would be better to keep your site ad free or at least not to display ads on paid members pages.

Thanks for yours suggestion and appreciation. I dont want to risk with adsense because of DCMA. Do you think a fee to $7for year is to much?
