Default Would You Agree With Google's Advice?

I am in the mood for tweaking and playing around with my adsense ad unit placements. Google recommends in its optimisation tips to use its One Click Optimizer guide.

Would you agree with Google that their advised ad placements are good for CTR say for instance on blogs?

I have just moved a unit from just under the post header and before the content to embeded with the content on the left. Lets see.

I think the upper left side of the page is a hot spot on most sites. Most of the Google Ad location recommendations are not around the upper left side of the page.

The only thing you can do is test, test, test...

Just keep track of how each test performs, & test at least a week or two to get real data.
