How many visitors can you expect from a keyword phrase that has about 5,000 global monthly searches and about 3,000 local monthly searches per month? Additional info:

You should always look on the local searches (exact match). Important additional info is: How many Ads are usually displayed? Ads are competing against natural results. If you have a keyword, that has no ads you can expact more visitors as when you have always 11 ads. |

Percentages vary depending on which source you believe, but according to a study made by Optify, the top 3 positions receive an average 58.4% click-through rate (CTR). Breaking it down with your figures of 5000 exact searches. #1 CTR 36.4% = 1800 #2 CTR 12.5% = 625 #3 CTR 9.5% = 475 .. #10 CTR 2.2% = 110 Note that the CTR are estimated averages and the GAKT is well known for not giving accurate figures, so you can only get a very rough idea of traffic from these figures. However, it is safe to say that being in #1 will result in significantly more traffic than positions #2 to #10 |

Listen to UMS's figures. Roughly 40% of searchers will click the first result. So you would have 2k visitors a month roughly, probably a little less.
