Default Keyword Research Suggetion

Hi,

I have made some keyword research. There are currently 2 sites one with old domain and other is just new one. I want to get some idea that for specific keyword how many searches(monthly) and how much competition would be better to acquire a better position in Google.

Thanks in advance.

Easiest way to check competition for me is using semrash. It's possible to check on any word, and even in the domain.

For no. of search, use google keyword tools and you will get an idea of the exact, phrase and broad search per month.

For competition, literally you only need to check the top 10 sites in page 1 of Google. 1 guide I use is to check the average page rank. If there are many sites with PR of 4 or above, most likely they are authority site (such as wikipedia, about.com, etc...). If you see ezinearticles.com, web2.0 sites or youtube, etc...It is a good news as it will be a lot easier to outrank them than the authority sites.

Cheers,
MingJong

It's a simple software, but check out Traffic Traffic for analysing your top 10 competition.

They do a great job of displaying an easy/medium/hard score of your keyword.

Mix this with the Google Keyword Tool and it is all you need for basic KW research.
