| It took me about a week here and there, but I read it from beginning to end. There is a lot of information in here but it's hidden. You just have to find it. Post 21 was a good one, I took notes on it. Get the chance to read it from the beginning and you'll learn a lot.

Hi Steve and thank you for all the grteat information you bring to light. My question is..... everyone keeps mentioning using the Cash Cow Adsense formula to generate income from your blog/s..... Therefore, I ask you, do you have to use this formula with blogs to be successful or can this formula also be used on regular niche websites? Thanks Steve and Horraaa! |

Alvanpilot, I am using the strategy for my websites and I don't have a "blog" per se. If you read the description of Steve's cruise site, it's not really a blog either. You can use blogging software like Wordpress, but consider the posts to be articles and not a blog post. That is what I am doing and I am using his traffic ideas to help build traffic to the site.

Nothing strange about it, they were all keyword stuffed pages that were built on .info's. Maybe with hindsight I could have turned them into affiliate sites but to be honest I wasn't proud of them and they didn't sit well with my new way of thinking. |

The cash cow guide to adsense wealth is my own personal strategy for making a good adsense income that I released as a guide (in my sig). You do not have to use this formula at all as there are many different strategies out there to achieve a good adsense income. However, this is my strategy that I know works because I have tried and tested it many times. Quote:

Yes, this strategy can be used on static HTML websites. At the end of the day every website is just a bunch of code that our browsers can interpret, it doesn't matter what site builder was used in the development. However, the reason I choose wordpress as my weapon of choice is that it is a fantastic platform that has many SEO benefits with it's use of plugins, RSS feeds etc. It gives you everything you need for perfect on page and off page SEO virtually out of the box. A static HTML site can do the same thing but needs a lot more effort from the webmaster. |

Thanks Steve for your quick reply. I appreciate it a lot. The reason I asked about blogs vs websites is because I developed my website about 2 years ago now, using SBI. And, SBI, in the course of building your webpages, has it's own in house applications that require one to build their webpage in such a way that is passes a "Webpage Optimiztion" application prior to uploading it. I am averaging about 3,000 to 4,000 uniques per month and was wondering if your program would be able to be used successfully with my website. Thanks Steve and keep up the good work! |

Yes, it will show you the process from start to finish of building a well optimized wordpress blog and how to integrate Adsense successfully. Your current website is already built and it seems to me that you should be concentrating on driving traffic to it. I do cover traffic generation but it is aimed at people who want to built a wordpress blog from scratch and make it a success. Quote:

Hi Steve, I noticed that your medium rectangle adsense in upper center of your best european cruise has a slightly better looking text than other adsense text. Did you do something to this? |

I'm still trying to learn about CPC, so I have a few questions. When reviewing the keywords in Google keyword tool, which keywords do you choose based on CPC? I'm wanting to create a site that will most likely start out as Adsense only, but I'm not sure how to pick my keywords based on CPC. Is it worth using a keyword that has a CPC below $2, $1???? - What is the lowest amount you would go for CPC? What is the average CPC/per keyword for a site that is fairly profitable? Thanks! It all depends on how good the keyword is.. What I mean by that is, if you have a keyword phrase that has a really good number of searches and low competition but a CPC of less than a $1 then it may still be worth a punt. It would take a lot less effort to get to page 1 of Google and as such you could still potentially reap some good income from that keyword. A lot of people call this going for "low hanging fruit". There is nothing wrong with this technique in itself but I would only use this as supplemental to the juicy fruit on th etop branches. It might take a lot more effort to get the big juicy fruit but the payback is more than worth it! Quote:

You are being extremely patient with me Pixel and I am sorry for keeping you and everyone waiting. I am working on the videos currently.. I wasn't happy with the first lot I did so I am redoing them from scratch again. Most of the text is done though, so it is getting there.. You will be first to know when it is about to roll! |

Dear Steve, It is simply because I have faith in you Steve. I believe that you are the one who will guide me to the Adsense success. I have read your ebook and learn lots of things and concept. Now, I am working to put it into practice, changing the site layout, writing article, etc. By having the boot camp, I believe that everything will be explained in depth as you'll give your hand to guide your member and let them see over your shoulder. So, please, tell me if you have launched your boot camp. Thank you Steve. -Pixel- |

Alvan, the short answer is no because right now I'm in the traffic building stage. I'm having to write articles myself for now, but I'm also using some content from article directories and plan to find some writers to freelance as well and write a few articles for me this month. I found that on an old personal blog I have been writing since 2005 I had a lot of content that I could use in my current enterprise, so that's what I'm working on now. I plan to re-write these posts, including pictures when needed, and building traffic with article directories and Squidoo lenses. My goal this week is to get five articles re-written and use three of them as link building tools and post two on the site as content. I have not bought the Cash Cow book, it's on my wishlist. I am using the info from this post and the 100 days blog at this point. My goal is to make $1 day with Adsense. I'm not keeping it on the one site, though. If I made $1 day between all my sites I would be thrilled! I've been on Adsense since 2005 and I'm only half way to payout. |

Hi Steve, I've been following your thread for these last couple of weeks and I'm on my way of making an Adsense-plugged website. I've several questions to ask regarding your cruise blog. 1) I saw that you use All-In-One SEO Pack plugin and all the category-pages are not being SEO-ed. They don't have any meta description and keywords. To give it much worse, the plugin even let the robot to not indexing the page (<meta name="robots" content="noindex, follow" />). Isn't it much better (if possible) to optimized the category page too, or at least let it get indexed by the search engine? 2) You've set the URL permalink of each articles without adding the category-name prior to the permalink of single_post_name itself. Maybe it is better like this: eg. [domainname].c*m/[category-name]/[article-title] instead of [domainname].c*m/[article-title] 3) How to use Propeller social bookmarking 'properly'? Recently i've just submitted my mainpage (only 1) to them, and then tried to add another sub-page but suddenly I cannot login to Propeller anymore. Seems they have banned my account. Tried to write them emails but didn't get any replies. Then I found this h**p://webupon.c*m/social-bookmarking/dos-and-donts-in-propeller/. Any comment? Anyway, very inspiring thread! Thanx! (joinned WF mainly coz of this thread!) |

It depends what part of the world you are in.. Here in the UK, the blog's posts are doing okay, in the US, they are flying up and down like a yoyo. Yes, it has impacted earnings naturally, ranging from just a few bucks a day to over $40. It's the good old google dance, eventually it will settle, I am not worried. |

1. The main problem with indexing the category page is that you might then suffer with some sort of dup content penalty or the category being indexed instead of your actual post. The category page tends to have all the posts you make under that category unless you change this. 2. It is a personal choice but the important thing is that you have your target keyword in the URL. If you want to include the category as well then there is no harm but it might dilute the SEO of the actual URL if it is a bit to broad compare d to your target keyword. 3. Looks like sensible advice to me in that article. If propellor do not reinstate your account then put it down to experience and move on. Open up a new account and do things like they say in that article. Quote:

Articles when done well in a popular category can become viral and get used on many different websites. This is an organic way of getting backlinks that hopefully steadily grow over time. The links from high PR sites like Angela's backlinks provide are another source of getting some link love but I wouldn't rely on them alone. The more strings you have in your bow, the sweeter the music.. |

Thanks for the reply. I started as an affiliate with 2u phones, writing articles and promoting my mobile phone site. I find article writing quite time consuming, and 2u look to be winding their operation down leaving my site and others high and dry as they no longer provide the auto phone feeds, so I am definitely looking to move into some other projects and this forum has been a great find for me, with some excellent stuff from contributors like youself.

That is great that you found the inspiration here and more importantly.. You did it, you made the effort and saw some early success.. The dropping down to position 300 is normal but I feel your pain, it can be very frustrating. More times than not it comes back up again, it is commonly called the Google dance. A new site will find it's pages jumping all over the place for a while, just keep doing the right things and you will get success. Quote:

When you write articles for popular categories, do you do any keyword research within the popular category to help the ranking of your article? What strategy do you use to make sure your article in the popular categories are visible so that you accomplish the goal of receiving backlinks? I'm wondering, if a person did an article in the very popular weight loss category, would the article ever be read since they're are probably so many articles in the weight loss category. What should a person do to make their article visible in the popular categories? Thanks Angela

First and foremost choose article titles that grab people's attention and try and combine that by using a well searched keyword phrase. If your research uncovers a well searched for phrase using a good old dog training example "poodle training".. An eye catching title might be "6 shocking secrets about poodle training". It is just an example but I hope you get the idea. You should also look at the top 10 in Google for that keyword phrase to see if the pages listed there are easily beatable. Quote:
