What is est to use, traffic travis or noble samurai? Google adwords is what I use when doing keyword research.

You can Select your Desired keywords from Google Keywords Tools External and after that you have to start off page optimization against that keywords to rank these keywords..

I use google adwords only for keywords research, but there are some helpful tools just search in web.

You can use Google keyword tool to check the competition.
However, it should be the combination of your mind and the keyword tool. Think of yourself as a user and what keywords you are gonna type if you are searching for that certain product or service.
