Is this a legit backlink?

Hi all,

recently a website syndicated our newseletter on there website.

First i was under the impression the URL shorteners do NOT pass link juice, but i was corrected and found out that they do.

However when i took a closer look, when clickin on one of the URL shortend links, it would open a dialog box, and would say "go to authors website"

This is not a direct link from the article to our website, and i was wondering if you guys could check it out and give me your opinion as to wether this is infact passing link juice to my site.
