Hi everyone, I am new with adwords and would like to know if it is imperative or highly recommended that I use proper case in the ads description. I did a couple of searches but only found tips related to the ad title saying it should be in Proper Case (the first word of almost all words capitalized or in upper case). Another question related to the topic: does google like the url on the ads to have capital letters in it? Thank you so much! |

My data shows better response with proper capitalization. You do want to capitalize words in title however. But now that Google tacks the first description line to the title when appearing above the SERPs, you may want to capitalize your first line. In fact, you want to make it read like it's part of the title. You can capitalize the display URL but since earlier this year, they lower case the domain name part when displaying it. |

You might find now that since everyone capitalises their ads, yours may stick out more with more lower case copy. I'd say the words you use, call to action and matching the targeted keyword is more important though. | |

I've found all first letter in capitals to work best, but yeah split test the crap out of it to find out what works best for you.
