18.000 (month?) are "ok" but far from what would impress me personally. You know whether the keyword is "good" depending on what you want to do with it. Do you want to make an Adsense site? How much is the CPC (cost per click) for that keyword? How does Google page #1 look right now for this keyword? Full with authority sites where there is no chance in hell to rank? Etc..etc. |

here is some idea for you 18,000 searches per month x 40% if you are in 1st position = 7200 visitors per month 7200 visitors x a terrible 2% CTR = 144 clicks x 10% CTR = 720 clicks 144 clicks x low 10 cents per click = 14.4 USD 720 clicks x medium 50 cents per click = 360 USD The cost per click you can get a rough estimate using Google's free tools for your keyword or for your niche. The CTR (click through rate) will depend on how well you design the site. So I suggest you take any wordpress theme which is made for adsense (like heatmap). Good luck. |

Unfortunately the only way to find out is to test it. Start by testing it with a small budget. The last thing you want to do is to do nothing... Sure you won't loose money, but what if you risk loosing some money and find out that it is a great money making keyword? Good luck... |

The cost per click is what Google charges the Adwords advertiser. However, an advertiser doesn't necessarily pay as much per click as listed. Google and you share what is actually paid per click on your site. There's more to it than that, but don't think if you see a stated amount, that amount automatically transfers itself to your account. I believe the Adsense advertiser gets a somewhat larger share than Google. Be conservative and figure less than half of what you see stated as cpc. Google has many ways to determine what that click will cost their client on your particular site, so it's not possible to pin down a price for you. That same click on the same ad at another site from that same advertiser could be more or less than your site. |

Are you 100% that's 18000 exact match searches or is it broad match searches? Can make a HUGE difference. |
