You can do direct linking as long as no one else is advertising the domain on the content network, but you shouldn't.

You need to be building a list. Direct all traffic to a squeeze page.

Don't settle for the quick sale!

Google and direct linking are never a good idea - even if you got away with it for a little time. Put in the little extra effort and build out your own presell page and funnel and your results will match.

In my experience Google can also be picky about what you are advertising too, try and avoid "big claims" on the landing page that promise to "get rich quick" without any effort, or .. lose weight quickly without trying etc. Just be aware that Google really want their users to have a "good experience" with the results pages that are shown. Do whatever you can to ensure the content shown on the landing page in on topic for the search term and not OTT. I don't always send my traffic to a blatant squeeze page, but I always do have a "most wanted response" in mind for the course of action I would like a new visitor to take.

Hope this helps.

Nick

I'm pretty sure direct linking on the content network is Ok.

I would like to hear from an expert who has done this on a large scale though.

It's a very simple question.
