You really don't need to do that anymore. However, I just do it out of old habit. If you don't put this in like a bold font - SEs don't care. |

<strong>, at one point carried SEO weight, but it got stuffed and abused, and no longer does. Bold, italics and underlining carry no seo weight.

This is the first time I have ever read that you don't need to do this any more. I would be very skeptical of that, and I see no supporting evidence for this claim. Personally I think it would be best to continue doing this to highlight your keywords, until someone can show some evidence that it isn't true.

I heard that they do not carry as much weight anymore. I would stay away from them. For one they make your site really ugly if you have the kws underlined or bolded 10 times on one page. Which could increase your bounce rate. Secondly you are basically telling the big G what you are doing. If your site comes up for review its not going to help your case

Don't underline every single keyword but it's good to bring out key phrases for better user experience. Do it if your website would be better with it, but don't do it intentionally to try to fool the spider.

SEOPressor automatically underlines and bolds your keywords. I think as long as it doesn't take away from your page for the readers, then it is still a good habit to get into. If it looks cheap and spammy, then I wouldn't do it! |
